I understand eBay just required the BIN price be at least 30% higher than the starting price, but I am curious about something else when listing Auctions with BIN.

If I remember correctly, there were certain categories that allowed sellers to keep BIN on the listing even with bids, up to a certain percentage.

For example:

Item starting price: 99 cents
Item has 10 bids now at: $100
Buy It Now still available for $500

Any idea if that still exists and if so, is it still limited to certain categories and what is the percentage where BIN disappears?

I know it still exists in clothing categories.
