Item sold 5/28, shipped same day. Fed Ex Tracking info automatically entered into eBay on 5/28. eBay tracking shows item in transit, Fed Ex website gives more detailed info including scheduled for delivery 6/4.

Buyer opens "Item Not Received Case". This is their message:

"I used the tracking number with both the post office and ups, and neither of them have a package for me with that tracking number. I would like correct tracking number."

Why does eBay even allow a buyer to bother me with this???

Wouldn't it just make sense for eBay to communicate with the buyer the details of the tracking when they attempt to open a case like this? Perhaps show the item tracking information to the buyer before they open a case. You would think a case like this couldn't even be opened within 7-10 days after purchase. At least give the package some time to arrive... especially when there is a legitimate tracking number on the transaction page.

I know, I know... I am asking for something too simple from eBay.

There is no real Ebay person manning the resolution center until you or buyer get them involved and that will take a few days.
I dont understand,it seems Ebay buyers are getting worse and worse when it comes to getting their items-asking for partial refund, complaining about delivery?
Merrie is right, let them go to Walmart or Target or Nordstrom.

Thanks lost, if they are that picky, they should get in their car, drive to a store & pick out the exact item they want. They can look for sales, or pay straight retail.

Buyers whine & complain when they buy items from us that list for $200 & they pay $40 + free shipping, + for the most part no sales tax. Really, give me a break!

eBay tracking is automated. If you click on the tracking, it will show the tracking info.

If a buyer files an Item Not Received, they should at least be prompted to view the tracking info automatically or not allow them to file it for a week. Pretty logical.

Additionally, I have 3 day handling already listed in the item. I did ship the item the same day as payment on 5/28.

3 business days since May 28, excluding today since the day hasn't ended.

Additionally, and most people are not aware, but Fed Ex Home Delivery does not operate on Mondays, but they do operate on Saturdays.

Does Fed Exp tracking shows up on My Ebay?
I remember when I ship USPS global express guarantee which is run by Fed Exp,it does not show up on My Ebay, even though I upload the tracking number myself.
It looks like My Ebay does not access Fed Exp website, just USPS and UPS?

I get a pop up window that shows the tracking info for Fed Ex. I just checked the status of a few packages and all show delivered.

The Fed Ex truck just left something for us at our house, and today is Monday.

shag,
your buyer said
I used the tracking number with both the post office and ups, and neither of them have a package for me with that tracking number. I would like correct tracking number."

//////////////
He is not using My Ebay tracking,he is entering the Fed Exp tracking on USPS and UPS site,so there is a communication problem ,he assumes you are shipping UPS or USPS.

Was it Ground or Home Delivery? I received a Ground package today.

Home Delivery delivers Tuesday-Saturday, 9am - 8pm.
on the Fed Ex site:

Lost - EXACTLY! The communication error is on the buyers end. This could have been prevented if they did 1 of 3 things.

1) Checked tracking on eBay
2) Read the email they received when I shipped it showing the carrier name and tracking number.
3) Read the tracking information AND tracked it using Fed Ex which is what eBay clearly shows in the transaction info.

Instead, they open a case which eBay allowed them to do even though tracking information showing the item shipped and in transit has been available on eBay since 5/28.

My point is... why allow a buyer to file a claim so soon, and if so soon, at least force the buyer to view the tracking info before opening the case.

It isn't rocket science for this system to work in a usable manner. After all, that is what we pay eBay the big bucks for.

I agree, they should at least contact you first before filing a claim with Ebay, but it is not really a claim,as Ebay has not been asked to get involved.
He probably think it is a scam since he cant track it on UPS or USPS website.
