I'll be moving to Vegas in December of this year....big concern...short of standing outside of Casinos hoping some poor schmuck wants to sell me his jewels so he can go back in and play....anyone from around there? Are there antiques there? Its not that old of a state....I'm kinda worried...

Los vegas is a high growth area and it is true that almost any antiques you find there are going to have been brought in my people and only turn over in quantity when there is a estate.
However look for what is unique to the area. Lots of people collect gambling items and there should be a lot more of the old ones flouting around there than elsewhere.
You are also close to areas that will have major amounts of native american and western items.
You will just need to learn some new specialties.

I have jet to see a pawn shop that is selling anything cheap enough to resell - but if you could somehow tap onto the same source of supply yourself......

There gotta be Salvation Army and Goodwill in Vegas too ...
Good luck to you! There have been shows late at night on The Travel Channel about how to make money gambling by using coupons, etc. It might be worth watching ...
