THE OIL SHORTAGE
A lot of folks can't understand
how we came to have
an oil shortage here in America.
~~~
Well, there's a very simple answer.
~~~
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
~~~
We just didn't know we were getting low.
~~~
The reason for that is purely geographical.
~~~
Our OIL is located in
~~~
Alaska
~~~
California
~~~
Oklahoma
and
TEXAS
~~~
~~~
Our
DIPSTICKS
are located in
Washington DC

LOL, Colin.
We simply cannot allow drilling to be done in the protected areas of Alaska. It was a gift to us and the environment from President Roosevelt. We must look for alternatives. I've noticed that hardly anyone walks anymore or rides a bike. Just about every city in this country has mass transporation, yet I see empty buses running the city streets here while the freeways are congested beyond reason. We've become very, very lazy. Taking a nice train trip has been replaced with the airplane because we can get there faster. And, from what I've been hearing from people, President Bush thinks we should start using coal again. Coal! Now there's a clean alternative. NOT.
All of us are spoiled and lazy. Ask anyone in a third world country and they'll probably tell you the same.

ooohhh.... I'm telllinnnnnnn.... you better be careful Cheryl. I said that same thing once and Peepa labeled me a far right republican and an enemy of the people for it.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

fenix03, I don't believe your an enemy to all the people as a matter of fact I believe you are an ally of the rich and greedy. You are only an enemy to the rest of us.

I think I mean spoiled and lazy differently than you do, fenix. I like walking and I like riding my bike. Most don't. Unfortunately, the climate where I live doesn't permit year round bike riding.

So you can tell that how she posts bigpeepa?
I find fenix although we don't agree on some issues that she is as honest as anyone. She is direct and to the point and doesn't agree with posters because she is neither right or left.
You are only an enemy to the rest of us Speak for yourself bigpeepa and only for yourself. I would like not to be included in your agenda.

I believe we should take the oil from where ever we can get it, which included the so called protected areas. If we get off our aZZeZ now and use it up...maybe our kids will get off theirs and find an alternative fuel source that works. All the past generations have had problems to solve and they did so. I want gas for my vehicles. NOW and I want it cheap. I don't want to drive a solar or electric car. I have a stroked big Horsepower motorcycle, a Lincoln town car, a 7.3 diesel school bus (and a Hyundai I drive for mileage).
If we leave the next generation with nothing to fret about they will get lazy and think they are owed everything. Just like the liberals in our country today.
