This link has an article about some soldiers who were guarding Saddam and what they learned about him and some of the things they talked about with him.

"Saddam learned the names of the GIs guarding him, was interested in the details of their lives, which they were not supposed to discuss, and sometimes offered fatherly advice. They conversed in English.

O'Shea said when he told him he was not married, Saddam "started telling me what to do." "He was like, `you gotta find a good woman. Not too smart, not too dumb. Not too old, not too young. One that can cook and clean.'"

Then he smiled, made what O'Shea interpreted as a "spanking" gesture, laughed and went back to washing his clothes in the sink."

Saddam sounds exactly like someone who used to post here.

How could any woman take Saddam seriously after they saw his bedroom?

Well I suppose he has to talk with someone and the only ones there are the guards. Maybe he will slip and tell them where the WOMD are. You never know.

So what? By all accounts Hitler was a very nice and polite man when you met him face-to-face.

Besides, what kind of idiot would do anything to make his own prison guards mad at him? He knows how the guards running HIS prisons treated prisoners, he probably feels afraid to give these guards any excuses.

Besides, who else does ha have to talk to?
