For everyone who expressed an interest in my nephew, Ryan and his battle with Leukemia. . .he's been hospitalized again. He got an infection and his white blood cell count is down to 800. As soon as I know more, I'll let you all know. This is awful because he was coming along so well.

BTW, generally the normal white cell count is between about 4,000 and 11,000 per cubic millimeter of blood. Ryan's is 800.

Being sent your way fenix!! Keep us up to date on your mother. Aside from her Alzheimers, my mother is in good health and I'm thankful for that. We'll deal with the Alzheimers. Prayers, hugs and well wishes to you and your family!

Funny you should mention football. Ryan's uncle (my nephew and Melissa's brother - Ryan is my grand nephew), is a star college football player. Maybe Ryan will take after him. I don't care who he plays for just so it isn't the Browns.

Cheryl - quick update - Mom's surgery went well. She is home now, sore, slow moving and a bit ditzy but good. I killed my keyboard the day of her surgery so until I can get down to get a replacement, I am limited to grabbing a few minutes on hers when she's sleeping.

How's you little guy?

That's wonderful news about your mother! I wish her a speedy recovery. With the holidays coming up, this is a tough time to be down. What a bummer about your keyboard. I can't tell you how many I've gone through. The last one got a cup of coffee dumped onto it.

Ryan is out of the hospital and his Chemo has been put on hold until the infection clears up. We're just hoping he's better by Thanksgiving. Thankfully, he's still so young that he probably won't remember much of any of this!
