"The Bush administration must understand that each American has a right to question our policies in Iraq and should not be demonized for disagreeing with them. . . To question your government is not unpatriotic -- to not question your government is unpatriotic. America owes its men and women in uniform a policy worthy of their sacrifices." - Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.)

Hey wait I thought some posters on this board said it was Un-American to speak out against Bush and his policies on Iraq??
Maybe they don't believe this since it came from a senator.

"People should feel comfortable about expressing their opinions about Iraq," - George Bush.

I wonder if this is good enough for those people that kept saying it was Un-American and un-patriotic to speak out against the war. They seem to believe everything else that comes out of Bush's mouth, why not this?

Even the president says it is OK and not Un-American to speak out against the war. Now who has egg on their face. Now who are the ones that are Un-American??

Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.
----------------------------------
The duty of a patriot in this time and place is to ask questions, to demand answers, to understand where our nation is headed and why. If the answers you get do not suit you, or if they frighten you, or if they anger you, it is your duty as a patriot to dissent. Freedom does not begin with blind acceptance and with a flag. Freedom begins when you say 'No.'

It is ok for people to express thier opinions, just as it is ok for the President to ignore them.

After all, if he can ignore warnings about a terrorist attack while he plays golf, he can ignore anything

And look where it's gotten the Republicans Yup, bush is VERY good at IGNORance.

What I find PATHETIC is how the CONSERVATIVE lawmakers up for reelection are now pretending they are listening to the average American.

Of course for 5 years these same conservatives voted against the MAJORITY of Americans. If re-elected again they will turn coat and do the same old thing.

These same Conservative lawmakers voted for laws that made the rich and industry richer. While the middle and working class took and continues to take a beating from these CON-SERVATIVES.

Lets not get TRICKED AGAIN by these conservative CONS. Lets kick these PHONY LIARS OUT OF POWER IN 2006.

I guess some people think us Liberals have a problem with Bush on a personal basis. They are wrong about this Liberal.

I have no problem getting over Bush getting re-elected. I just can't get over the LIES and BAD government Bush and his supporting conservative lawmakers have given America since being re-elected.

You are right,at some point during the day I do get pissed. I get pissed when I hear The ALMOST DAILY BAD NEWS about what LIARS this CON-SERVATIVE FORM of government is. I get pissed when I hear (almost daily) WHAT HARM this CONSERVATIVE FORM OF GOVERNMENT has BROUGHT to America.
