Is it just me or does it look like those hoping for an overturn of Roe v Wade may be disappointed?
For those not watching... Alito has said that precedence is an important issue and that every time a decision is upheld it strengthens the precedence of the decision. Roe has been upheld 38 times in various decisions.

Saying what the senators want to hear is good politics, actually doing it is something different. Look at Souter.

A little here, a little there.
To me they're a huge waste of taxpayer dollars. Most already know how they're going to vote and as I understand it..most have already met to talk with him also. [As is normal in these cases]
I, personally, have no worry/fear that he's not going to be voted to sit on our USSC. He is, imo, without a doubt.
All the rest of this is just grandstanding by typical politicials who feel it's necessary to hold him to different standards than they do their own.
It's been no mystery that there are 22 democratic senators who have said they won't vote for him. So why even waste the time asking him questions ...since they've already made up their minds. Let those who haven't ask him questions to make the process quicker and less expensive to us taxpayers.
