Does anyone here have Dryer Balls? If so, what do you think of them? Do they work?

Bear, I just got through castrating 47 baby rams. There wasn't anything dry about it.

Not a bad idea. The sheep are finished but I'm doing my bull calves next week, maybe I ought to give her a call. Those'd be more like the size balls she's used to dealing with
By the way Kiara, I do apologize for sidetracking your thread. I don't usually like to do that but it was hard to resist.

i have heard that they work but I have not tried them. My mother used clean, new tennis balls for the same purpose and they worked well except things smelled like tennis balls afterwards. It's an odor I enjoy very much when I am playing tennis but not so much when I am in bed on supposedly clean sheets.

Somewhere long ago I read (maybe in Consumer Reports) that they're not worth using. However, there are times when the QVC people talk about washable down jackets and vests and they recommend something like tennis balls to slam into the clothing and fluff up the down.
"Up the down?" LOL
I just make sure things are shaken a little (towels and such) before putting them in the dryer. No problems.

Profe, with a topic title like that what else could I expect?
Actually one of our sale flyers advertised the dryer balls but none of my friends I asked had heard of them. I just looked for some reviews on them and other than not saving any significant drying time, the biggest complaint was the loud noise they make and they don't reduce static cling or take out wrinkles.
One said they are the size of baseballs and can also get stuck in sleeves and pant legs and beat up some fabrics.
They are supposed to last up to five years and be chemical free so along with the energy saving it sounded like a good alternative to dryer sheets.

What a set-up.
Kiara, why do you need them? I stopped using dryer sheets or any kind of fabric softener long ago and it's been fine.
