Let's wildly imagine the unlikely McCain-Palin victory. His erratic economic and health reform "fixes" will not go past stage 1 of the House or Senate approvals. (McCain has all but conceded there will be a bloodbath shift in Senate and House - giving a great majority to Democrats). It will be a democratic powerhouse that faces the presidential winner. Does McCain anticipate ANY of his trickle-down policies being passed by this congess? NO! What will happen if a gung-ho congress tries to right the economy behind a reluctant president and God save us all if the president is Palin?
Side note: I have tried to envision a career for McCain after his political life is over. A Fox commentator is out- he appears too old and grumpy. Following Bob Dole's footsteps, a Viagra spokesperson with a younger trophy wife might work.

I forgot that Bob Dole made those commercials. UGH!

Did anyone watch Meet the Press yesterday? He couldn't remember the names of the five generals that are supporting him. He was "uh, uh" and really grasping at straws to try to remember all five names. They roasted him. When he tried denying being just another Bush, they brought out the videos showing how he's supported Bush. It was great.

Whitman said she and McCain share a philosophy of scaling back the role of government. a point of view partly shaped by her EBay experience. "The EBay model is very Republican in its essence -- it's about making a small number of rules and getting out of the way while not overtaxing the community," she said.

Yes, pixiamom. I hate to see those senior moments in the oval office as they become more and more prevalent.
