I have a black thumb when it comes to living plants. It wasn't until my neighbor suggested I try some charcoal (yes, like the ones you purchase from the fish store) on the bottom of the saucer.
Wow, what a difference. My Geranium is blooming like it's springtime. I guess the trick is, the charcoal makes the water sweet. That's my tip! Anyone else with neat tricks?

one of my favorite tips is to use a blow dryer on price tags (especially those old ones that just won't come off) and start at an edge and it will peel away easily, leaving little or no residue to mess with.
Also, Hair Spray on a cotton ball, rubbed onto ink and permanent marker writing, will usually take it all away, even off porcelain.
...and don't let your husband keep the house electricity on when he's changing a light fixture, no matter what he tells you he can do.

When voting in any election, especially a Presidential election, make sure to actually LOOK at the ballot you are using. Follow the line with the black arrow on the end, and poke the little punch into the hole that you find at the end of the line connected to your candidates name. Only punch one hole, because if you punch two, they will toss your ballot right into the trash. And never announce a winner in any contest until all the votes are counted and then recounted.
