A question for anyone who has gone to see The Grinch movie. Is it a musical? I gotta know if they break out in song in this movie. My husband HATES musicals and seen a clip where someone was singing and now is hesitating on whether or not he wants to go!

Thanks!

Yes and no. Music doesn't *carry* the film, as it did in old musicals, but there *are* musical interludes. They basically do the songs from the old animated short, plus have added a song for Cindy Lou Who to sing.

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately even a few are too many for my husband. He really hates any singing in movies. I love torturing him by watching Grease all the time. One of my favorites! Thanks again!

Don't waste your time going to see the movie. I took my son last week and, while HE liked it, I found it totally boring and coy.

The movie had no sense of purpose, like it couldn't decide what kind of movie it wanted to be and the plot was all over the place.

Lie to him--or tell him the truth---it's not being marketed as a musical--so it isn't.
