Gawd, I love that show! Did you see it tonight? So powerful. West Wing is so good it's making some of my other "favorites" pale into insignificance. --Adele

Good writers, good actors, and good direction seems to be an elusive formula for network TV to hit on. West Wing's got all those bases covered well. Lots of depth to the characters, and consistentcy in the writing. One of my faves.

It really is a great show...you really have to pay attention to the inter play and fast dialog or you miss some of the funnier lines. I have the remote in hand to turn it up when we get them bumping into each other in the hallways or getting ready for a press meeting, really great stuff. Wouldn't it be great if we could be assured that our president really cared about his people and country the way this one does?

What disease was Dr.(Mrs.) Bartlett talking about near the end of the show when she was giving him a hard time about a 2nd term?? My kids were talking and I missed that bit.....does Bartlett have some disease that will get worse in time????

I agree! West Wing is *the* best show on TV!
Anyone remember the first commercials for the show where they had 'real people' talking about how they felt about the show? One lady said something along the lines that she just wanted to jump up and cheer.....well, I feel the same way!
I can't tell ya'll how many times I get the tingles while watching or how many times I jump up and say, "YES"!
During the first new show of the season (after the cliffhanger ending where you didn't know who lived or died) I actually broke out in a sweat because the show was so exciting.

Zazzie...the Bartlett character has MS.....that is what they were talking about.
PS: I loved it when she turned around and called him a JackAss!

I really like the show and the acting, but I wonder why the network and the writers have to shove their political agenda down our throats. I don't see a real need to constantly bombard us with the anit-gun message.

There are TONS of shows that glorify guns
....in a show that takes place in a political arena you can't be sitting on the fence on hot issues---some of your characters have got to have an opinion--though it may be contrary to yours or mine

Latest I heard was that Martin Sheen was going to slip and fall in the bathtub, hitting his head. The injury would result in brain damage that will lower his IQ 50 points so as to better mirror the real life Pres.
Ooops, I think Letterman said this first.

I'm still holding out hope that the election turns out to have been Pam Ewing's dream.
(If you're under 30, have someone explain that one. )
