Checked the auctionsite, not a word about the $1-SALE.
Checked my e-mail, no message from Bidville about the $1-SALE.
Oh well.

morning Dimview...
The $1-SALE announcement is on the front page of the auction with a link to over 1200 sale listings...I expect the planned e-mail will arrive shortly.
$1.00 open bid / no reserve...good luck!

The link is now on the front page, and I received my email!
I also found several items I probably will bid on!

My three-day trip turned into a seven-day one, so it was good to see Bidville's homepage advertisement and find an e-mail about the $1-SALE.
My e-mail also had notifications that two of my $1-SALE items have ended with bids.

Hi Dimview--it's good to see you back!
And reporting some good(?) news for a change.
I was surprised to get up this morning and check my auctions on BidVille to find two more of my not $1-sale items with bids. Then I hustled myself to the post office to mail off the three that closed over the weekend (only 1 of those was $1-sale).

Okay, now all of you getting bids from the $1 sale promo, how many have closed over the opening bid?

I bid on several at $1.00 (bid a bit above that) and won one at $1.25

Toollady, I've only closed a couple of $1-sale items so far--most don't end until next Monday night. I have 42 listings of which 33 are $1-sale items. Of those 33 listings I have 18 $1-sale items with bids. Currently about half have one bid with two or more bids on the other half.
In looking into my list of ended auctions I have half that sold and half that didn't. (Keep in mind when items that are unsold are re-listed they're moved from the unsold queue.)

Hi Wallypog,
Thanks for responding. Was just wondering if items in the $1 sale are going for more than opening bid.

Toollady---if you wanna see FUN and "more then opening bids"...check out my auction for a baby quilt I started at $1-Sale at Bidville... started at $1/no reserve, as per the rules (rightfully so),and I now have the #1 hottest auction at Bidville's Sale...40 bids for that quilt, for 34x the price of the opening bid..any MANY MANY bidding wars! Sincerely, Suzi_teacups at Bidville!

Yes, Toollady, there are definately $1-sale auctions going well beyond the opening bid. Not all of them as hot as Maytag's though, I might add, LOL.
And last night after I posted here I got opening bids on four more of my auctions. More multiple bids would be super but considering all I think the $1-sale has been a huge success. (We're already laying plans for the next sale, LOL.)
