I am looking at the Bidville site. If I choose not to use the special features, it seems that there is no listing or final value fees. It does seem like there is a $5 annual verification fee. Am I missing something?

Also, I checked out the Bidville bulk loader. It seems it is restricted to 8 x 254 bytes of data for the lot description. Is this correct? Is there a way to get around this restriction and still use the bulk loader?

The new bidders also have to pay this verification fee. That makes Bidville the only auction website to try this tactic. It should be interesting to see if this tactic fails or not. There may be a few sellers balking at that notion as the number of listings has fallen about 18,000 in the last 3 or 4 days.

No listing fee & no fvf is correct for today. However they have always had it in their TOS they only have to give 14 days notice to implement both listing & fvf.

Sorry, don't know a thing about their bulk loader.

The bulk loader is limited to 2000 characters in the description field, not really enough for a nice html template.

Shame on you bidsbids. "Bidders have to pay the verification fee." Now you know that statement is not true.

The #%$^ never seems to end here.

The world of AW will be a much nicer place now ... at least for those with a credit card.

No, Bidders do not have to pay. However, sellers then can deny your ability to bid which means you might not get to +2 in feedback which means after 30 days according to the Prez you are not welcome there. Oh an don't bother trying to post on the message boards because until you pay, you can't post.
