I admit I list all my gravy items on Ebay. But, I always have a second site to put my "Ebay rejects" (as I do not relist) and items that I do not feel are worth spending 30 cents to list. Yahoo used to be the site where I "filed" all my listings with some moderate success at sales before the fees. After that Lycos was my filing cabinet and then that died so I went to Bargain and Haggle. With the new fees at Bargain and Haggle, I need another filing cabinet where I can at least have a few sales a week. I sell mostly used clothing with a little bit of this and that in between.

I am considering trying out Yahoo again with the new fees but don't want to list all my items there and pay. I looked at Yahoo Canada, however, the listing don't show up in any search on the US Yahoo site.

Anyway, what I am asking is what Free third tier site does everyone recommend??

Wait till November 20th then risk the nickel each and list them at Yahoo. That's 10 days at a nickel and the same relist option as eBay ( sells second time the re-listing is free ).
If you want a totally free third tier site I would definitely recommend Carnaby although you will be relisting them quite often. Bidville is a total waste of time and money as it now costs money to sell there.

Well SellYourItem.com comes to mind. Easy to use and with folks flocking there from Ebay, the site is certainly worth checking out.

Is this a joke? lol. I cant believe anyone would pay to sell at bidville. And like bidsbids said you can list on yahoo 10 days for a nickel while FEEbay charges forty cents.

There is a select group at BV that buy from each other and the majority of their scant sales come from these auction friends. To these select group member it may indeed be worth the $5/year to sell there but to most others it is indeed a joke to have to sell or even the restricted use of site guidelines for buyers.
Non-Verified bidders with a feedback rating of less than +2 can bid on a maximum of 5 items per month.

If someone bids on 5 items in 30 days and does not get at least a +2 rating from it, they are not welcome here.

Note: It is very difficult for new members to find this information on the site uunless they know to read the Official Announcements in the Community section of BV>

With all the bidding going on between the sellers the only one that can make money is USPS.

But BV does provide a valuable social aspect for most of the message center users and that is the reason that BV can not disband the message center. It's like a dive bar that has nothing going for it except the free buffet, take away the free buffet and the bar closes for good.
