This comment was made on another forum:

So derogatory remarks are NOT among the criteria for being suspended at Bidville, unless they are directed at one specific individual.

This is not quite true. A member may also be suspended for suggesting that using porn pop-ups as a means of generating revenue is a "sleazy" thing to do ... doesn't have to make reference to any specific individual.

I don't know if Bidville is still doing this (the pop-ups, I mean). I suspect not.

So now WE want to talk about the truth??? How strange.

The truth is in fact that no one was suspended for saying that the porn pop -ups were a "SLEAZY" thing to do, nor were they suspended for calling the Prez "A SLEAZE".

They were suspended we THEY asked on the board to be suspended.

THe Prez told you that if you didn't stop using derogatory remarks toward him on his boards, you would be suspended. You replied with something to the effect of, "then suspend me now!"

Sorry, I don't remember the exact words, but that was pretty close if not the exact ones.

If you are gonna tell something, and mention "the truth" in the same post, at least have the decency to tell the whole story.

But what would you expect from a site that promotes itself to be deadbeat haven. RB, they did you a favor by dropping you. Now you won't be wasting your time at a dead site. You will sell more by posting your items on a bulletin board in a dark room full of blind people. All bidville wants to do is keep all of those deadbeat sports cards sellers & buyers and run off anyone who wishes to sell anything of value. I say move on and let the babies have their site.

The problem with Bidville is a few inmates run the asylum. When the so called "prez" vanished like Jimmy Hoffa a select few decided to take over the site, and thats why the message boards are almost dead there. If anyone asks about advertising or other suggestions to clean up the site they attack like killer bees. caffeitalia is quite correct in his/her post. The only way to sell on bidville is for other sellers to buy from you. The site has a small 1.5% sell thru rate, and if that isnt bad enough they have no programmers to add new features to the site, but they can change the colors. Bidville is the lowest rung of the ladder when it comes to auction sites.

I am not a seller, but rather a buyer. I still do a *lot* of buying from Bidville sellers, but I have to it off venue. The only problem not being a member is that I cannot post any feedbacks for the great sellers I have met there.

You know normally I just sit along the fence line and let people spar the way they want. But!! I did notice that caffeitalia made a comment pertaining to sportscard seller's. I sell sportscard's at Bidville so that means I am a deadbeat. Hmmm!!! Why am I a deadbeat for selling sportscards at Bidville? Just curious. Hillbilly

It is sad that you have to quote from Mootropolis.com to here.

They have some nice new Canadian Avatars even.

I'm almost ready for the next big argument here at AW. Ready for everything except for one thing. I left my lawn chair in the pumpkin patch last year and neglected to watch the pumpkin patch.

I'll use it anyway, after a few ice-cold Canadian beers the chair will be comfy anyway.

I don't think that was a pumpkin. It looks like beer drinker on that chair left behind a hemorrhoid. Must have hurt when it hit the ground.

I once saw a photo of a bicycle that was part of a tree and about ten feet up in the tree. It had been left leaning against the tree many years ago and the tree simply grew around the bike and carried it up as it grew.

I hope not. I'm working out a pay-for-view deal with Don King. I've already rented the lawn chairs too.

If there's no brawl I'll go MAD I tell you ...

I thinks bidsbids has something there. Just think of the money you could save with a herd of sheep instead of mowers. NO gas NO oil NO labor (they are self propelled) and you could advertise free fertilizing with every mow job. And if you get enough of them heck you could do the whole county in one sweep while you sit back on one of bidsbids lawn chairs ranking in the dough.

bidsbids!!! Yeah!! I have already made the move foward with the lawn care business. There is a neighborhood that is full of millionaire doc's & lawyer's and so forth. That is going to be the focus of my enterprise. I already have 5 accounts and I believe it will work out just fine. Getting people to work is the problem and I sure ain't gonna do it. LOL!!!!
Now back to these lawnchairs. You kill me with these pic finds. LOL!!! I love it. Give it a little bit of time and brawl season will be rarin to go. See ya'll, Hillbilly

Reality!! We must have posted at the same time. You know my yard takes about 2 hours to mow. I have offered several people $50.00 to mow it. Nope!!! To busy. So!! That is why I got mad and did this. As far as the sheep. I like the idea. I really like the idea. Cheap labor, my jug of shine, and one of those soft lawnchairs with an umbrella of course. See ya! Hillbilly
P.S. No work here today. May showers means tall grass and dollars for Hillbilly.
