I have sold 16 items on Epier since Jan 14th, and have bids on 4 more at this time.

Epier doesn't get anywhere near the discussion here on these boards as Bidville, yet I awoke this morning to find some more bids on epier. So far I have sold one item on bidville...

Epier may just turn out to be the "Quiet Giant" of free online auctions...

I come from Yahoo and have been trying out both epier and bidville. I really like epier. I am selling more high dollar items there than I ever did on Yahoo. I love it's layout and it's ease of use. Only a few draw backs, the biggest is their lack of responsiveness to emails / customer service ie: something isnt working properly or a suggestion to add a feature etc. Very difficult to relist an item automatically on a specific time period. Those are my biggest complaints so far. Other than that, I rate them next to bidville. Bidville still has my highest rating due to their customer service and response to emails.

I am a bigger fan of BidVille right now. I do use E-Pier but have not been as succesful. I am still going to keep trying. Just have to give it time. I have 2 sales now.
Customer service is slow in responding but the site is easy to use.
I do find for me this site takes a little longer to load.
I think we all should be trying both sites before critizing either. They are both expierencing growing pains. I hope they both do well.

So many sellers touted this as the next free site to head to after Yahoo did what everyone is going to have to do eventually...charge.

Well it was a long walk off of a short pier.

I think I received 1 page hit total on my test listing.

I don't like the layout, the design is mediocre at best.

I give them a 2.5

I have had no sales here so I am not very happy. I think customer service is lacking and that is so important. Why can't more businesses understand that? I do like the layout, but it is really slow for me to list there. I believe it is their servers because I do not have that problem elsewhere.

I am using Epier but have as yet to get any action there. I do like it as a site and since I have also not gotten anywhere at BidVille, if I had a choice between the two I'd chose Epier, just like the atmosphere better.

I am seeing more sales through BidBay, AuctionAddict and such.

I am getting lots of page views on Epier, if one can rely on their numbers.

pro - nice looks
con - little traffic, no bulk loading, editing problems, no image upload, no homepage

The home page is TOO "busy". Too many things going on, and it lacks polish. Instead of putting all of the testimonal text on the front page, they should link to it and decrease the confusion.

Try going into Home/garden... so slow.
For me anyway, but I am on modem. But I'm also at several auctions now and ePier loads the slowest.

I must add, that sells are going to vary with these auction sites depending on your product and where your customers have settled.

Epier looked like they were taking off in my area, but tonight, I see that only 200 items are listed there. Looks like Bidville is drawing the majority of crafters.

I really like the ePier logo.

With a place to enter your userID, password and bid, don't all auction sites look alike?

Anyway, over the past few days I have purchased three items and have one bid on one of my items at ePier.

I hope they can get the bandwidth up and put the categories listings on "pages" rather than a single big "page", because the site is very often intolerably sloooooooooow.

Its easy to use. I do like uploading pictures directly. But it does not seem to have the traffic. Some hits but no bids yet.

I am having better luck with Epier than with Bidville. I have listed some low and high dollar amount items collectibles and antiques on Epier and I was able to get sales on both. the only things right now that are selling on bidville are the lower priced items. I have close to 100 on bidville and only about 10 on epier. I have heard that the place to sell antiques is epier. I have to agree.

3 listed on Auxpal - 0 bids
2 listed on Epier - 1 bid

no sales yet... but will be putting stuff up on Epier that I used to put on Yahoo later this month once I figure out the bulk lister system.

With only a few auctions on ePier, just had the first that ended with a buyer.

This item, by the way, was listed on that few pagerviewers, fewer bidders and even few buyers wasteland called Yahoo!Auctions for several months.

Site is great. Need more buyers though. Have sold 2 items. Like it better than bidville. Easy listing procedure.

I have sold over $215.00 worth of items in just a couple of weeks from 36 auctions and have total bids at this time in excess of $300.00 on about 15 items. I am doing as well on ePier as I did on eBay if not better. ePier username: "<a href="http://www.epier.com/SellerOther.asp?6129,0,1">Opals</a>"

At first this site was really slow in the last week I have sold 15 items with prices very close to what you get at ebay but without the fees. The atmosphere is far more laid back and I found some functions easier than ebay. I thing this site is a sleeping giant about to awake.

We have been on ePier for about a month. We don't expect miracles over night, but a little exposure might help people to find us. We have had lots of sales, great customers and understand the growing pains any site goes through that tripled in size since January. Tech Support is great and they are doing everything possible with in a reasonable time frame to update and improve the site.
Would be much more effective t oget some positive feedback instead of all this nagging. After all, it seems to me not everyone is so thrilled with Yahoo and E-Bay anymore either. So give ePier a try and understand it will take some time to make it the number one site......Can be done, with a little positive support. ePier is FREE and supportive of the influx of all new sellers

I have been a member of Epier for almost a year now, I have sold quite a few of my barefoot sandals, plus I have some bids on other things, and I get a lot of email, asking questions. I have met a lot of very nice people on Epier, the staff is very helpful. I love the site, and plan on using it exclusively in the near future. Bids have slowed down on Ebay for me, I have some things on Edeal, but Epier is the place right now! Just be patient, I was on Ebay when it first started, it had a lot of problems getting going. My user name is 47HarleyGal on all three auctions, but some are case sensitive. Thanks,

Here are some statistics.......Listed about 60 items.........sold $ 400.00 worth of merchandise in the first three weeks. Some over e-mail also. Found some wonderful Bargains and spend about $ 300.00 in buying things for the family. Sold 8 items last week again.
We do a lot of advertising for ourselves and let all of our previous Customers know where we are. Maybe it depends on what is sold also.
Anyway, we are more then pleased with the people there and our sales. Buyers could find the site easier if Auctionwatch would add them to their search engine. Just a thought!

I find this site to be exciting. It definitely needs work, but they have added new servers which makes loading time a lot quicker. I've had 17 successful auctions all paid for with 0 NPB's. I have another 38 auctions with bids on them. This is far greater than I have done on eBay in the last 2 months.

Traffic could be better, but I see an increase in traffic every day. When I joined 1 month ago there were 1024 shopkeepers - sellers on the site. That number is now at 2021 shopkeepers. Thats almost 1000 new sellers that have come over. I feel that if more sellers list, this will give more variety of items for buyers and keep them interested in coming back.

The staff could state more of what they are doing behind the scenes to improve the site. This is my only beef!

I love Epier. It is a bit slow loading for me, but they are working on that. I have sold 5 items, and have bought 4 items in less then one week. I have 4 bids on my current listings. Almost as good as Ebay. For the poster who said there was no bulk up loading or image hosting available?? Hmmmmm! Don't know where you been buddy, but they have all of the above mentioned services. They are currently adding more categories, adding bandwidth, and Web TV users will be able to use the site pretty soon as well. Give them a break, they only have 8 people working there for now. It is growing fast. AW has just seemed to hear of the site, it wasn't even on their search engine. It is now!!! Watch the bids come in now. Woo! Hoo!!!

47HarleyGal here again, I accidently turned off the email notify..... so I will post again, don't know how else to turn it back on. I am getting bids as we speak, do you suppose it is because I posted here? I certainly am pleased with Epier and the customer service response. New categories added almost daily. I know they are busy, but they do listen to us. The site is definitly growing.
Thanks,
47HarleyGal

I joined ePier in January when it had 818 shopkeepers, it now has over 2100. The Tech Staff have added Categories when I requested them, I am candlelady over there. I already have a 23 feedback rating as I have purchased some wonderful items and also sold merchandise on 16 Auctions. I have bids and my previous e-bay customers are "shopping" not only with me, but other Sellers. There are some great Bargains to be had....
I think they have a great future....it is certainly a much easier site to navigate than others.....I love their Image Hosting Service and Preferences Tab.....they are a little slow at times....but they will improve that I think.
I plan on staying. It is also nice to not have the Fees.....

ePier Gets an A+ Rating from me. I have been selling there since Yahoo started charging fees. Great Site. I have sold between 75-100 items on epier.
This site does look a lot like eBay but that is why I like it!! However the atmospher there is so much nicer than any auction site I have found. Other sellers willing to help you out in a heartbeat.
ePier is a little slow right now in the bidding but I am sure it will pick up more everyday as it has been over the months time I have been listing there.
As for bidville I do not like their set up at all. Writing is way to small to read. Childrens clothing is all in one category not split up in boys and girls like epier or in pants, shirts, outwear, ect... like yahoo. Makes finding anything almost impossible unless you like reading tons of small print that you will never even click on.
So for me ePier is my vote for best new auction site with no fees. A+ job ePier!

I think Epier is a fantastic concept and
it is definitely a dream to list on...I am
currently trying to build up my auction
base by listing no sell items at a much
cheaper minimum...it doesn't cost me anything
to list or relist and there are no final
auction fees.....it's a much much freer place
to sell from...It's easier to put an item
up and use the auto relist...less hassle
to watch...and I put my browser email
address in the ad so I can be contacted
asap is need be. I believe that with short
auction cycles that auto relist my items...
and if I
continue listing alot of small items with
low minimums...that in the long run this
is going to be a real money maker! I'm
going to invite my
customers from other sites to take a
look at my inventory on Epier. I love the
graphics and the free spirit of the site!
And I'm encouraging other auction sellers
to notify direct their on going customers
to check out Epier....as word of email gets
around, it will increase the traffic...I've
seen interest pick up in the site this
past year...especially everytime other site
users cry BOYCOTT! Dissatisfaction, lack
of good customer service, and dysfunction
systems will divert more and more alter
site users to Epier....and as this
phonomena keeps plateauing, the customer
buying base will also build and traffic
will increase.....Go EPIER Go!
