Anybody had any luck getting a real answer from Half.com. Every time we contact them we get a form letter that does not really address the question asked. We have run across many books that do not match the ISBN. We always contact them aboutit. Some times it is the wrong title more often it is a format or price mistake. HC rather than PB, or it is a HC but the listed retail price is $5.99. Every once & a while we get an order we pull the book & the format does not match. Today we got an email from a customer who wrote she ordered a hardcover & got a paperback. We checked and yes the book is now listed as a HC but it has a PB cover price listed. Only two other copies are listed, both with PB type prices. We list 99% of our books by the ISBN, the only exception being when the ISBN is not on file. How likely is it that Half.Com "fixed" a mistake but did not notify the sellers already listing books. As I said earlier, we have notified them of many mistake. I am sure many other sellers have too. We have never been notified of any format changes. On the whole we have done well with Half.Com but this could be a potentialy big hole in there system & I know I will get the usual canned response of "make sure you ship the right book". But did the listing match my book when I put it up?
