I did the verification thing 5 days ago. The 2 little Paypal deposits are in my bank account but I've heard nothing from Paypal. How will I know if I become verified or not?

I've been embarrassed twice by customers asking if it was ok to pay me by Paypal because Paypal site said I was an unverified user. Gosh, I've been registered and using Paypal for months so why would Paypal make me look like a less than upstanding user?

AuntPink,

Have you entered the amounts of the deposits PayPal sent you on 'verification page' on your account? You need to confirm the amount of the two deposits.

Hi uaru,

Thanks!!! I would never have thought to do that. I was under the impression that Paypal was going to send a reminder with instructions. Oh well, I'm verified now!

Thanks again - I really appreciate your help.

I'm getting multiple emails from bidders wondering what is wrong with my PayPal account. They assume I am not legitimate because these f#%$&ing idiots at PayPal are sending them an "unverified account" message.
PayPal stated that if you jump through the hoops they would list you as a "verified account". PayPal has been transfering money in and out of my account for over 6 months.
How much verification do they need. PayPal and their "customer service" can blow me.

No, it is the f#%$&ing idiot who wont bother to verify their account that is causing the problem.

>>PayPal stated that if you jump through the hoops they would list you as a "verified account".<<
Jump through hoops? You click a button and Paypal puts money in your account. (PP has spent at least 2 million dollars on this verification to make it safer for YOU). You then enter these two amounts. If that's "jumping through hoops," you're really out of shape.

>>PayPal and their "customer service" can blow me.<<

Fine, so stop using it and leave it for the other 2.7999999 million people who like it. You can pay to use Billpoint and accept charge backs and just wait until you see the hoops they make you jump through.

Spreland "PayPal stated that if you jump through the hoops they would list you as a "verified account".

relax... your post here complaining about the verification took more effort than the actual verification process. To make your complain even less valid they even pay you to verify yourself.
