Hello!
I'm posting here hoping that a Paypal Rep will see this.
Something needs to be done about the "Paypal challenged" buyers out there!
I'm talking about the poor souls that beam me money WITHOUT a mailing address, or reference to an auction item or number.
Now, I know there's the "AUCTION" option when you send money (I even mention it in my EOA), but TOO many can't seem to find it! Besides, there should ALWAYS be a "checkbox" to include your mailing address with ALL paypal transactions!!!
Here's the scoop Paypal...
In the last 30 days I have done over $3,200 in business with you. 100's of $5-$10 transactions. I spend WAAAAAY too much time trying to figure out WHERE TO SEND THE ITEMS! I've got to email TONS of bidders with "Thank you for your quick payment, but... address please", etc.
And then there's the "multi-mailers"!!
They beam you money, and send the address and auction info in ANOTHER email. Now I get to TRACK down and try to CROSS-REFERENCE a bunch of emails to TRY and match up the "multi-mailers" before I start my emails asking for an address! Heck, I get 50-100 emails a day. This is FUN!
Oh, and my email address is "[email protected]" WANT TO GUESS how MANY people send MY money to "[email protected]"??
And of course I'M the FRAUDULANT one when they don't get thier item.
OK, blah, blah, blah, I can go on and on about how ANNOYING Paypal is. But, my bidders like it so I am willing to use it. I've resorted to a big 'ol collction of email "folders" in an attempt to keep myself sane through the proccess, and stay as organized as I can.
HERE'S WHAT I WANT!
I want a "MY PAYPAL".
Yep! A nice little page where I can send MY BIDDERS after the auctions ended where I select the fields I want them to fill out, and where MY EMAIL ADDRESS is encoded into the transaction so SOMEONE ELSE DOES NOT KEEP GETTING MY MONEY!
A page where I can set the preferences. A simple little thing... You know, "Thank you for your bid! Please fill in the auction number, mailing address, etc." They fill in MY PAYPAL, with thier member info and password, and BAM! I get the PROPER information real easy like. Everything goes smooooth, noone gets hurt.
Oh well, thanks for listening to my little rant! I just had a bunch of auctions end so I've got to get back to searching through emails for addresses, or any little hint of identity.

I know that is a problem I've seen that happen many times. I wonder if you set up both [email protected] and [email protected] as emails for you account (you're allowed up to 8) would that take care of the problem? If you'll get email sent to [email protected] or [email protected] why not have both on your account?
I know the buyer should be taking care of the problem but some just don't want to use the cut and paste routine.

I would LOVE to have the clickpix.com domain and email address!
I own clickpix.net not clickpix.com, I don't think I could register an email address that I can not receive emails from.
Besides, one slip of a keystroke and ANYONE is open for a NEG.
BTW, don't take my earlier rant to mean that I hate Paypal. I actually like it. I just think there are a lot of problems that could easily be avoided.

Have you considered setting up a separate, free e-mail address (yahoo or hotmail, etc.) for your auctions? No one will ever remember .net. Most people don't know what a .net is -- "dot-com" has become so ingrained in the American culture. It seems to me a more familiar e-mail address will save a lot of frustration for you and your buyers.
You also might consider adding a note to your EOA telling people exactly how to get to the Auction Payment page at Paypal.
Or you could put a "copy and paste" list of information you require buyers to put in the "message" section of the regular PayPal form.
A simple Name_________ Address________ Auction number(s)_________ would do.
A little hand-holding up front can save a lot of aggravation.
I still think Pay Pal, needs to clear up the issues with email adresses in an effort to free up that email. This can be done, we've come far now take the next leap. Also, I agree with the other posters. Clearly make a form for the users/buyers to fill out so we're not guessing at what they've bought. Less time may mean more money for all of us and happier customers along the way.
