When logging in to my PayPal account today, I notice that my Inbox is back but now the transaction fees I'm being charged are no longer anywhere to be found. This is very irritating as I keep track of the fees I pay for tax purposes. Does anyone know of a way to find the amount of the fees? I know the fee charged varies depending on whether a buyer used a credit card or their PayPal balance. Finally is this just a way for PayPal to sweep fee increases under the rug? I would love a response from Damon or anyone else who can help me determine the exact fees I'm being charged for each tranaction.I have a Premier Account. Thanks.

Hi - I think you need to click on the Transaction History link to see fees. The inbox is more of a way to quickly check who has sent payments to you.

Hi,
I was totally in the same boat as you. I used to write down the fees and then check off my inbox after I did so.
I know the history page always used to show it too...now...it does not.
You must now click into every individual listing...AGGHHHGGG...I list 150+ auctions a week...that would take me about a day and a half to do that.
I called paypal and I asked them about it. They told me that they had had a lot of complaints from people who file this for tax purposes. The customer service rep was VERY helpful. She actually let me read off all my papers and very quickly gave me the amount for each one instantly.
She also told me I could download the log. I did not think I could since I dont have excell or quicken. But it also works for microsoft works (and that comes with win98)!
So that was just great.
I do think they honestly removed the "fee amount" becuase their fees went up.
A lot of my payments are between $8-13. I used to get charged mostly a $0.11 fee since many users have money in their PP account, so it never counted as a "credit card" transation.
Now...All fees for anything under $15 is $0.30. (wheather people pay by check, paypal monies, or credit card)...anything over $15 is the $0.30 plus a percentage.
I think they are going to put it back once people get used to the fees, but I think they did not want people seeing it all at once. (some probally never look at their fees).
Am I angry or upset? No....I dont like all the fees, but in the longrun I like their quick and easy service. Besides, the fees are tax deductable in the end.
I hear people on these message boards stating "it's a dying company"...I do not agree...It seems like when I look up who is upset the most...it is the sellers, not the buyers.
Myself as mostly a seller just thinks...where would I be without the buyer? Nowhere. So I do believe that most buyers love the service too.
Out of my 150+ auctions a week, I would say 75% of the buyers use paypal. That is a LARGE number.
I barely ever buy anything at auction. But funny enough, when I do....I only buy from people that accept paypal. Why? Personally, my bank does not offer free money orders..so I must pay my $0.85 for my money order, then my $0.33 stamp and go out of my way...too much bother! This is the age of laziness....drive thru coffee, food, banks, video stores, and even RX drug stores.
Face it...paypal is here to stay. I would not be surprised if in the future ebay knocks out billpoint and moves paypal in.
