I thought I was one of the lucky ones since the only problem I've ever had with Paypal was not being able to get through to check my account. I left $600 sitting there for a month a few times before spending it even. Now I'm restricted. I've asked no questions of anyone, bank, credit card company, nada. I went in to verify a few payments, got a phone call and got logged off and when I went back in had a restriction. So far no answer as to why and I now need to use the money to pay for something I bought. Boo-hoo - any advice?

My account was restricted on 10/24 and you they still haven't fixed it. Got $800+ in there.
I finally got my first reply to any email I sent about a week ago and I faxed them all sorts of documents like my DL, Visa Statement, etc, and still not a word.
I advise everyone to stay away from PayPal.
I'm no theif and there has been no fraud.
I've done like 5 transactions in the past 5 or 6 months so I cant even begin to think of what they are investigating or what fraud occured since the transactions were all with friend I know.
I sent an email to them every 3-4 days or so over the 7 weeks, and never got anything but "we're looking into it" reply. Got about 6 of those generic form letter replies they do. The last one I got requested that info and it's been over a week now and they still haven't done anythign with that.

I have to give credit where it's due - Paypal reinstated me within an hour AND answered my email. It was a welcome surprise.
