Frankly, I dont know. Lets cut out everything that theyve said and look at what theyve done.

1) Solicited people to give them credit card numbers and bank account numbers

2) Collected money from credit cards, promising to deliver it to sellers

3) "Locked" seller accounts when sellers tried to retrieve thier money

4) Thier "customer service" says that you cannot talk to anyone but them, but that you can leave a message and that they will have an "account executive" call you back.

5) Thier "account executive" never calls you back

6) They force you to repeat steps 4 and 5.

7) You dont get the money that is in your account

I'm starting to wonder if this "exchangepath" is some sort of scam. (Remember paymentalt.com?) Ive been going through thier "circle of excuses" for a while now. If I dont get something done by the end of the day tommorrow, Im going to have to use the FTC and FBI websites to file complaints against them. I don't like seeing my money disappear. The only real recourse that I can see is asking my buyers to contest thier exchangepath credit card charges and send me the money some other way. I cant see getting all of my buyers to do this after having recieved thier items (I have to ship thier items because theyve paid; it isnt relevant to the buyers that I havent actually gotten the money.)

Is anyone else wondering whether exchangepath is an honest company? If they arent, what else can I do?

Paymentalt was an entirely different story. I took a look at their website and realized immediately that this was a fraud. There was no company behind them, the phone wasn't answered during business hours, the only email ID was a yahoo id, the site was one of those $99 a year deals.
Exchangepath is backed by a formerly big company that is quickly becoming a small company. I don't think they are crooks. I think they are liars, based on the contradictions they have stated right here ("accounts were restricted for fraud" "no, they were restricted by accident, we apologize" "no, we don't apologize, all those accounts were restricted for fraud" "our risk manager will call you right back" etc). I think they are incredibly incompetent. I think anyone who visits AW and continues to use them is asking for trouble. I think there are several lawsuits against them that they will undoubtedly lose. I think when they go under, a lot of folks will lose money. But I don't think they are actually crooks.
