Hi Mansurf,
Do you have any examples of changed categories you can provide us with?

Here is a copy of a post by ebay on their toy forum dated 9/14/01.
These changes were first proposed and previewed beginning June 21st. After many emails, suggestions, and input from the community, changes were made and a revised preview was put up for the community to view on July 30th. A few additional minor changes were then made and we announced the finalized upcoming changes on August 22. We that these changes will be helpful for both buyers and sellers.
Here is a summary of the changes:
To help group similar items, new areas now exist for Building Toys, Pretend Play, Robots, Monsters, & Space Toys, and others.
Pretend Play features Fisher Price and other brands. Educational Toys has been expanded to include the Baby Toys category.
Bean Bag and Plush Toys are now organized together under the new Stuffed Animals and Bean Bags category.
Diecast was expanded to include all toy vehicles, including other materials, types of vehicles, and vintage vehicles.
Board and Traditional Games are now together and categories for popular games like Monopoly and Scrabble were added.
Model RR, Trains categories are now organized first by scale and then by brand name.
Many new categories have been added in areas where activity seems to dictate need, especially in the TV and character toys category.

I uploaded a new copy of Auction Watch a couple of days ago - now today (9/30) I was listing a bunch of items but couldn't list one in category 16106 cuz AWPro said it wasn't valid but it is - I checked on Ebay so according to AW there isn't a category for candles or candle holders but 16106 would take care of that. How can I get my auction listed in the proper category when AW doesn't have it?

Hi Bonnielaurine,
That category is available in AMPro. To use it, synchronize AMPro and then quit and restart the program. You should then be able to input that category number or select it from the list.

thank you - it finally worked after synch'ing AmPro, then re-downloading AMPro, synching twice more - and I finally have it.
