Help please! I've just typed up several auctions in my inventory and have tried to add them to a batch for uploading but the program won't allow me to browse for a category. There is no "OK" button to click either in the inventory section or on the batch part. It just stays gray. I just downloaded the 3.5 version of auction pro...is this my problem? Please help as I'd like to get these going. Thank you.

Hi GeneralFunds,
You may want to synchronize first before you try to upload. Also make sure that you don't have any other programs open when you are using AMPro.

Thanks for your response but that isn't the problem. I did syncronize first. It's on the site information page where I need to fill in a category and the "OK" button remains light gray so I can't choose one. I can get to the categories through the drop down menus, etc. but just can't click the ok button because it's not there ....just the cancel button works. This happens on the inventory and on the batch. Please please get back to me ASAP.
Thanks again.

To further elaborate on my problem, I'm getting an error message that says "Override category is not valid for eBay" ?????
I do not set a category in my default because I list so many different items. I just choose one as I go. I didn't have this problem with the other aution pro verson I was using. HELP PLEASE!

Hi GeneralFunds,
I went into your account to investigate but was not able to find any pending auctions or auction that you were not able to launch. Do you have any other examples of this happening that were not launched successfully?

Hope you got my email. The problem isn't in launching the auction. It's when I'm composing the auction off line and try to choose a category on the second page, or the specific site information. I check the box for eBay and then browse to look for my category. The category page comes up and I can go in and look at them but at the bottom of the category page the "OK" button is gray so that I can't click on it. I then can't load auctions because I can't choose a category.
Again, your help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I'm really frustrated now! I thought while I was waiting for your reply I'd try just listing on line through the regular AW program. Got one auction launched and was well into another when AOL cut me off so I lost all my description. GRRRR! Could you please contact me immediately. I'd like to know how to fix this so I can compose my auctions off line.
Thanks

I guess "immediately" isn't the same to me as it is to you. I have sat patiently by while you first instituted fees that never were, then you increased them. I have really never needed your help before and was happy to pay for a service that "helped" me list auction and pictures. However, it now looks like I may as well just go to eBay and get their MisterLister ......I would sure appreciate a reply even if you don't have a solution. Could you please respond??

Hi GeneralFunds,
Kindly make sure that you are choosing a valid Category number for the first category, and that you either have no category selected for the second category or that you have a valid second category. To further make sure that you have the latest category information, please synchronize and then restart the program.
If you are using Profile Manager, you may also want to check the profile for that item to make sure that you have a valid category selected.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Sonya, Thanks for replying but your solution isn't mine. Let me explain again....I am able to type descriptions into my inventory on AMpro....however, when I go to choose a category using the "Browse" button, the screen will let me pick one, however, then the "ok" button goes gray and I cannot click on it. I've have tried multiple times....I've transferred the inventory item to a batch item and the same problem occurs. I have tried sychronizing several times and it still doesn't change anything.
I didn't have this problem with the other version of AMpro, only this new 3.5. Do I need to uninstall 3.5 and reinstall it or can I have the older version back? Also, what happens to the items I've stored in my inventory if I uninstall and reinstall, etc?
Could you please answer today? I know you have lots of questions but I really try hard not to be a pain --- pretty passive most of the time. I'll gladly pay your fees but PLEASE help! Thanks, Sharon

Hi Sharon,
What category are you trying to list in? I will try this from my end to see if I get the same results.

Hi Sonya,
Thanks for responding. I'm trying to list in Collectibles....Christmas but I just went in again and it doesn't matter what category I chose.
Perhaps I'm still not making my problem clear. It's when I choose the "override the default" section, check the box next to eBay and try to "browse" to pick a category. The screen then won't allow me to click "ok" to choose the category. It doesn't matter which one it is.
Please review again and let me know ASAP.
Thanks, Sharon

Hi Sharon,
The only way that the "ok" button would go grey is if you did not finish the cateogory selection. I am wondering now if you have the latest category update in your AMPro since there is more than one Christmas subcategory in Collectibles. Kindly synchronize the program, quit and restart it -- then go through Collectibles and select your Christmas category.
Let me know if this works.

Hi again Sonya,
I followed your suggestion. Synchronized, etc. even shut down my 'puter and restarted, etc etc. Still not working! When I select "collectibles" the ok screen goes gray. Doesn't matter whether it's Christmas or any other subcategory.
I'm really stumped now.
Please let me know what to do....should I reinstall, etc.? What happens to the info that's in there now?
Appreciate your help. Thks again
Sharon

Hi Sharon,
You have to keep on going until you see a category number on the right hand side. Do you see that, or do you just stop after Collectibles? Let me know exactly what you are selecting from each drop down menu.

Hi Sonya!
Whew!!! You've solved it! Here's what I was doing:
Choosing Collectibles, then Decorative & Holiday, then Holiday, Seasonal, then Christmas Current(1991-now) and no number would appear! When I try different Holiday categories, a number appears and I can click ok as it goes back to being black or clickable!
It must be just that one category that isn't working, at least on my program!
Thank you ever so much! I'm going to try uploading again now and I'll let you know if I have any more problems.
May the rest of your Sunday be less perplexing! Sorry if I troubled you way too much.
