I post over 1000 auctions a months and now I just got some weird error message after many were launched. Fifteen auctions are now sitting in my pending. Could someone launch them please?

Addendum:

Or if not launch them, tell me what they heck they want. I just got summarily dropped by Billpoint which no one there can explain and they feel it is some mistake by Wells Fargo, so I have removed any reference to Billpoint. What's their problem now?

Hello forceten32,

When I checked the log from eBay, the error message would point to these items being relists and eBay was failing trying to list because there were different checkout details specified from the originals.

If this is not the case, and these are new auctions or you have not changed your eBay checkout options since you first listed these then go ahead and resubmit them from your pending section. (perhaps it was a temporary error with eBay recognizing your items as new auctions.)

Hi mrsdoglady,

The log from eBay shows the same error message as described above. You did mention those items were relists, have you changed your eBay checkout specifics from how they were when you originally listed this item?

I've had the same problem the last three nights - some launch, some don't. The error details mention something about sales tax. One auction failed two nights in a row, but launched when I hit launch instead of scheduling it. Last night three out of four auctions launched (all new auctions, no relists).

Hi Christopher -

This can be an slightly expensive problem. Billpoint summarily dropped me. No one at Billpoint knows why. I'm a silver powerseller, good record, no contention with them - then mail my money every day.

Ebay thinks Wells Fargo screwed u. Whatever. But they are relists and naturdally the payment information will be different, I cannot use Billpoint (which frankly, I couldn't care less about.) Still all those old auctions listed Billpoint as an option and I edit it out.

Billpoint tells me I can't use Billpoint. Then when I omit per their instructions, they won't launch because I don't list Billpoint?

In the meantime, auctions are going over the 30 day limit and I'm losing out. When I call call Ebay, they side with me in every way but what matters.

Hi forceten32,

The error message coming back from eBay does not say anything about these failing because of anything to do with Billpoint.
As I mentioned before, it relates to your checkout settings. If previously you indicated checkout details, then when you do a true relist of one of those items, you must specify checkout details again for it to go through without error.

If this entire batch of relists that is failing in your pending section falls into this category, go and change your eBay preferences back to specify checkout details and launch those items. When you are finished, go back and turn it off if you plan on not using that feature anymore for your eBay auctions.

Chris, so your advice is that I go back and reinstall checkout. List anything in there I want and then my relists, you are saying, should go through.

My problem originated when I didn't touch this information at all. Then when Billpoint had their snit, I just dropped Billpoint from any mention. But I kept checkout.

They wouldn't launch. Then I went and eliminated everything and they still wouldn't launch.

Of course, in the meanwhile, these auctions in question have gone over the 30 days period and now are unrelistable, I suppose.
