I cannot change the default for category. When I click on apply and then choose the default it all shuts down and gives error Ampro has caused an error and will shut down. MSVBVM60.DLL Ive tried going in from both pages and same problem. I've tried editing and same problem also. It is stuck on the last category.
I wish the category window for adding the number was on the first page and all defaults on the second. Then I would not have to wait for the second page to come up to finish a listing.
I also have the same glitch in the new version as the old in that it will not save the second shipping preference. I have to go in an change it to nothing. It is on a default for 1st class and will not keep the new default.

Hi Larrkpoodle,
Try setting your preferences online, then downloading them to Pro by synchronizing. If this doesn't work, or if you have already tried it, please let me know.

Always been set to zero shipping charges for the second choice on line. Never has any effect on outcome.
Now AmPro is shutting down when I try to reopen an item to change something.

Do you think the AMPro program could be adjusted so that all the work is automaticaly saved when it shuts down, like my email? It even saves the new letters not yet sent.

In sales manager my problem is frozen keys like the #3 payment recieved key. Seems like all the keys along the top of the page are non-functioning now. Not only is that key frozen. I can't delete people who've paid. I can't upload checked files for relisting from the closed file or post sale file. Seems like somethings corrupted in the controller. This occured with the earlier version of AW so I tried uploading the 4.0 version. no change. Help. Seems from the other writers that we need live tech guidance. Since many of us are drivers and not
programmers. We need step by step guidance as we make corrections. The instructions you send us in print might as well be in greek for all the good they do.

No, it now closes the program if I open any item in batch where I want to change something or cut & paste something to a new listing. I just have to save each one before clicking on to anything else. I really hate new upgrades. They never have anything new that I need but seem to always have new glitches. I had to load the upgrade 3 times in the first place just to get rid of the notice to upgrade to the new version.

Hi Larrkpoodle,
Were these batches created in a previous version of Pro? You could try running the program with nothing else running and see if this produces the same results. Let me know.

No they were current batches, sometimes the item I had just finished and had forgotten to change the category since I can't change the default. I tried with nothing open other than the AMPro and same result.

Please install this Microsoft kit: Visual Basic 6.0 SP5 Run-Time Files. The link is:

If you still get errors afterwards, please go to the Windows Update site (you can reach it by clicking Tools > Windows Update in the Internet Explorer menu). Check any updates which are available for your machine, especially Service Packs and device drivers.

I did the upgrade thing and still same problem. I used to be able to have as many as three batches open at same to copy & paste from, to the new batch. Now as soon as I open an item in another batch (only two open) before I can copy it closes the program. Of course the new batch is lost and must be done over.
