Hi, I can't figure out how to use the calculated postage in the batch listing process. I can add the weight and box size in the individual listing area but it is too time consuming to do this for every listing. Someone please help!!
Thanks, Pam

Hi Pam,
You will need to have USPS Priority Calculated as your shipping option in each listing, and enter the weight and dimensions. You have to do it for every listing as the calculations are made based on the weight and height of the item. Let me know if you need any additional help.

I'd like to know if there is a way of updating my auction watch sales manager pro to include calculated in the shipping section. I've been doing it directly on line, but would like to prepare my auctions offline and then load them to the sales manager. thanks

Hi Sylvia, You are talking about the batch listings too aren't you? I wasn't able to get an informed answer. Apparently, no one there uses their own system and realizes just how time consuming it is to use the 1 auction at a time method to upload auctions or they do not realize there is a "batch listing area". I thought perhaps I was speaking a different language. I hope you have better luck!

Hi sylvia,
First, make sure you have version 4.1 or higher. You can do this by going to 'help+about sales manager pro.'
If you do, the next step is to setup your online eBay preferences to use calculated as one of your defaults. This is done via the My Account tab, under the eBay site specifics link.
Launch Pro again, and you should have the calculated shipping option available as one of your choices.
sherlocksbest - If you feel Sonya's response did not address your concerns, please clarify. She is correct about the weight needing to be applied individually to each item, since it works based on each individual items weight.
If you have a number of items that are exactly the same, just copy and paste the one where you did specify the weight into the batch to upload however many you need with the same settings at once.

Thanks Christopher, I knew that the weights would have to be put in separately but I could not find where to put it in the batch listings and I think it is because I do not have 4.1 or higher. This is basically what I thought but I wasn't sure where to find upgrade and was hesitant asking when one of your associates did not seem to know what or where the batch listing area was to give an better informed answer.

Thanks Christopher. I realized after I posted that I'm still running 4.0. Can I upgrade it somehow, or do I have to download and start over?? Actually, I don't calculate in batches, I do one at a time, but at least I'll be up to date. Batches worry me.

Hello sylvia,
The auto-update for SM Pro 4.1 has not been enabled yet (this should be available very soon, however.) If you need to update to 4.1, you will need to download the whole application for now (sorry for the inconvenience!)

Hi and thanks for the answer. Do you have any idea (days, weeks months??) when that update may be available for the 4.0? Doesn't have to be exact, just to help me calculate whether I can wait or need to download the 4.1.

Im still having trouble getting USPS calc configured. I set USPS fixed and USPS calc as the available options in global preferences web page. I synced with 4.2 SMP, but when I try to set preferences in the SMP Shipping options window I continue to get a SMP notifier window telling me to set it on line first. what am I doing wrong?

Hi Ebstuff,
You look like you have the right settings online -- although I would review your setting for USPS fixed since you have it at $0.00. Synchronize in Pro, quit and restart the program -- what you have done online should now be reflected in pro. Let me know if you have any questions about this.
Regards,
Sonya

Hello, I noticed that Sylvia's question as to how long it will be until your customers that have been with you awhile will be able to upgrade to better versions of SMPro that we need desperately to continue our businesses in an efficient manner has not been answered. Personally, I think that Auction Watch should be looking out for their already established clients better than this and be thinking first about how to make things better for us (upgrades so we can use the new features without losing all of our info and having to download an entire new program)before they go after new business. I hope that someone will address this question so that I can make an informed decision as to whether I want to stay with Auction Watch. I look forward to an informed reply. Thank you.

Hi sherlocksbest,
Are you using the most recent version already, the 4.2? We release new versions to address issues some users may have had with past ones, as well as release support for new tools and products.
If not, download it here : http://www.auctionwatch.com/my/client/ampro.x

No, Christopher I am still working in 4.0 and when I tried to update after your last email, it would not do so. Then in Diana's email of 8-2 she said the auto-update was not available yet. Sooo, what is the correct answer? As you can tell, I am quite confused which isn't surprising since one of you says one thing and another one of you says some thing else. Regards, Pam

Hi Pam,
I am not saying that the automatic update is available, rather that you can download the newest version via that link above to get the new tools. You will be loading the new software as if it were a fresh install, but it will save your batches and images for you, as well as inventory, so in the end you will have the new version with all of your data still in tact.

Hi Christopher, WoHoooo! That's all I needed all along apparently but the 1 st download I tried came up as 3.5 so you might check into that. The first time you sent that link, it downloaded as 3.1 (same I have so that's why I thought it didn't work)I'm not certain why this was so difficult and why it took so long to come to this conclusion though. I have wasted since July 20th a lot of time (which is money in my case!)trying to figure this out, downloading and trying other programs and trying to find something that was already out there but I didn't know how to get to. I admit I'm not very computer knowledgable but there has to be an easier way?!???
Thanks, Pam
