I use a HTML template inside of the Template 19. This information will many 100+ items, and I will use another HTML template within another one of AW standard templates (go to http://shop.auctionwatch.com/eaglewolf to see what I mean)
My question is how can I set this up so that I can just create a combined custom template.
Right now I create the item in Frontpage then copy and past it into the description section then choose the template 19. I want to just copy and paste the description in to AW and choose the custom template.
Unfortunately there isn't really a way to customize a template like that, but there is a way around it. What you can do is, in SMPro, go to Edit and select Profile Manager. Create a new profile and edit the eBay Site Specifics to fit your preferences for that item. Now, go to your inventory, create a new inventory item there with the description you wish to include with every item of this nature, select template 19, and then apply that profile to the item. When you want to list items with that template, simply drag and drop the item from inventory to your batch and select eBay as your venue.

Hi Eaglewolf,
You can create custom templates online using the provided image layouts and template themes, then when you synchronize Pro, they'll download. However you can't customize one with the description and all -- that is where the above directions come in handy as they save you cutting an pasting time.

I was able to open the template file in frontpage and insert my code for my template and save it. The only problem is that when you enter the description through SMPro it is always put in the same place. (Not where I want the desciprtion) I guess that falls under the customertemplate map file , anyway i could edit this?

I opened the template 19 file in Frontpage. Then I inserted my custom Code for how I like the layout to look and the standard information. I saved that file, then opened up SMPro and started to create a new lising, I chose the Template 19 file I edited, and it has everything in it just like I like, but if I enter the description of the text through the application screen it put the description at the bottom of my page instead of at the top. (http://shop.auctionwatch.com/eaglewolf ) this is an example check out one of the auction to see how it looks.
So you want the description to go within the table -- am I correct? You'd have to insert the that text in the appropriate section of the HTML in your description -- if you were to put it at the bottom, it would appear at the bottom. Unfortunately it won't automatically go to the right part of the HTML you have there.

Did you go the auction site link I sent? Where it says the item description that is where I want the Application to put the description once I enter it into the new Listings section. I can edit the template - that is fine. If works when I save it and use the new custom template, but when I enter the description is always puts the description at the very bottom of the template. How can I tell the application where to put the description of my item on the template? Is that what the CustomTemplate Map in the main AW SMPRo application is for? if so what program do you use to edit that information - is that possible? If not by me, then would AW be open to making that slight minor modification?

Hi Eaglewolf,
I got the link to your store, from there I clicked on one of your auctions and got to one that looked like it had a table containing your item description. The thing is, if you want to use HTML within your listings, you can. But if you want your typed description to go to a specific area, you have to put it in the correct spot for your HTML. Unfortunately we are not setup to store customized templates that are prefit with your HTML. I will log a suggestion for you with Product Development.

Thank you - please submit a suggestion it would be nice to enable users to create there own styles and templates, then at the bottom of those the application automatically put the AW information.

I will submit a suggestion. I would also like to point out again that you can create different image layouts with our preset themes, through the Create Custom Template link on the Create Listing page. I wasn't sure if I'd made that clear with you or not.

Thats of to do it that way, but it takes long that the offline applications. When I have 100 items to do the web site is to slow to do that many. The Client application lets me copy and past quickly then batch upload them.
