How do I keep Sales Manager Pro from adding the extra photo under my html listing and before the counter? I physically have to go in after its posted to remove it. I want a picture on my gallery listings but not the extra inside the listing. What can I do to avoid this?

What extra photo are you referring to? Do you have it showing in any of your active auctions right now?

It has the gallery picture of the dragon fly at the bottom. How do I remove that before I list?

Hi Inkski,
When you are creating images, please make sure that you don't have the image attached twice. Do you use any self coded HTML that you copy and paste into the description box and if so, do they contain the image URL by any chance?

I only have it attached once. Just the gallery picture. Hhere's my photo html. No where in my html is the gallery (dragonfly1) inserted. It seems to tag it self along....

One other thing, I can go in now and remove the photo...but only after its listed. That html adding that photo is nowhere in my listing html until I post.

Hello,
I just want to clarify, are you using Sales Manager to do your auctions, or Sales Manager Pro (the offline software)?

Hello,
Sory for the delay. I know what the error you are running into is. You are wanting to use an image for the gallery that you do not want to appear in your listing. The problem comes from Pro, as you cannot add an image to the gallery that is not attached to your auction. Unfortunately, there is no way around this. You will need to attach the image to your listing in order to select it to be used as the gallery image at this time.

Thats not an error I'm running into...thats an error AW needs to fix. So now I have to manually revise every auction and take the gallery picture out of the listing. Swell. Plan on fixing this?
Is there another program other than pro that WON'T do this?

Hello,
Actually, there is no error. The same thing happens when you list directly at eBay also. You would need to contact eBay and ask them to consider changing their policy for that image not to appear at the end of the listing when selected for the gallery.

I did not do an ebay gallery pic, but did attach a pic in AW when I created the listing. So, it seems anytime you attach a photo AW will auto insert it at the bottom of the listing? Does that not prove if I want a gallery pic AW inserts it and not EBAY? I think this is a glitch, and one that should be fixed. Gallery pics should not be added at the bottom, drags the load time.

Hello,
I have just figured out the problem. I copied that auction into pending so I could take a look again -- you have HTML for the image already inserted in the description so it is appearing right above the text. The image you have attached through the Attach Image function is appearing at the bottom. To further illustrate this, I left the auction in Pending and detached that image -- take a look at it and go to eBay Preview and you'll see how the auction will now look. You either need to not detatch the image, or attach the image and remove the image text from the description box.

aaaaaaarg! I'm getting fustrated here! I totally understand that the image will not be there if I detach it, and not attach originally. I did this to prove a point - The problem is....Gallery Pics! AW inserts it in the auction listing at the bottom only BECAUSE we click attach, which we have to to add a gallery pic. It should not do that, and its not ebay adding it. Following me?

I apologize, I was getting confused as to what you are actually trying to do. Christopher is right, this is an issue with Pro and I will escalate it to see what can be done. However I just tested this coming from Sales Manager online and you do not have to add the image via Attach Image in order to choose an image for the gallery. So for now, you can do it online.
