If I set a preference for checkout on Ebay and for global preference USPS media shipping for $3.00 today so I can list some records for sale, and then go in and change it to $5.00 when I get ready to list my movie posters again will this have any effect on my relisting these?
When I go into relist will it keep the values for each one the way I am listing them or does it fall back on the default values at the time of the relist?

Hi Lindajean,
Initially when you hit the relist icon it will bring up the data as it was when you originally listed it. However you can edit it and change the shipping. I hope this helps.

I do not want to change it before a relist. I was just afraid that since I was using two different amounts in the Ebay checkout section that when I relisted it would automatically use the default amount I had posted at the time in place of my original amount.

Now I am confused.
I thought you said it would post with the original amount? I will be listing around 200 a week and eventually hope to have 1000 going at a time.
When I have a no sale and relist, some of them will be for items that I set up checkout for $3.00 and some will be for $5.00.
When I relist I want it to retain the shipping fees under Ebay checkout that I originally placed in the ad. Otherwise I could lose hundreds of dollars. I cannot go in and revise each auction to be sure they read correctly.
I will try asking once more as I realize it is difficult to word this in a way where you know what I am talking about. Any fixed amounts in a feature such as Ebay checkout always makes me nervous.
1. I list an item. I go in first and set the Ebay checkout total to $3.00. Then, I make the ad and post it using AMPro.
2. I go in and change the Ebay checkout to $5.00. Then I make more ads for other items. Post them using AMPro.
3. One from each group did not sell. I want to relist.
4. I click to repost or relist or whatever.
Now. My question is: Will item #1 still show $3.00 in checkout or will it pickup the default checkout I now have listed.
I do not want it changed. In other words can people use checkout when they have different shipping totals?
The other service I was using had it fixed so you entered the checkout total for each auction. This amount stayed tied to that auction.
Since your service has a global preference what amount does it pick up for relists? Does it pick up my $3.00 on those items, and my $5.00 on the items I had listed with $5.00 in checkout or does it default over to whatever I have checked at the time of relist.
This is very important as I build my ads so please let me know a definite answer. As I said, going in and revising the ads is not an option.

Hello,
When you relist an item, it will relist it as however you had originally listed it. It won't change to any new defaults you set up. So, if you originally listed an auction that had $3 in checkout for eBay, then changed the checkout for later items to $5, when you relist the first one it will relist with $3 as the eBay checkout because it does it on a per item basis. I hope this makes more sense, as I am now a little confused.
