Did local system maintenance last night on my Win XP system; disk cleanup, defrag, etc.
Uploaded 2 or 3 batches to my Store through SMPro with no problem - cleared temp files with XP Disk Cleanup utility between batches as usual - on the next batch upload to my store I received the following error:
--------------------------------
SMPro error
There was an error opening the 'C:\Program Files\AuctionWatch\data\Customtemplates.map' file.
Do you want to continue?
(The file will be deleted and a new one will be created instead.)
--------------------------------
I selected YES to continue... all batch items uploaded to the store just fine, but I'm curious why this error message may have been generated by SMPro.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Greg

Received a different error after system cold boot and restart. This error came up when starting SMPro:
-------------
SMPro error
There was an error opening the 'C:\Program Files\AuctionWatch\data\profile.dat' file.
Do you want to continue?
(The file will be deleted and a new one will be created instead.)
-------------
While typing the error text into Notepad, SMPro continued to start up in the background as normal.
I then clicked YES to continue, and it started up a second copy of SMPro at the same time. I ended the first copy that opened and was able to work with the second with no problem.
It seems that a few files in the "C:\Program Files\AuctionWatch\data" folder have been altered by the Windows XP maintenance. I'm not sure why this has happened.
I would recommend to synchronize SMPro on startup when you get the error, so that any preferences that might have been lost when deleting files is downloaded back into SMPro.
Now, if such errors continue to happen after restarting your system, synchronizing and restarting SMPro, please let us know; we'll need to look at it in more detail.
