I was hoping with the new 5.0 version that you would now be supporting offline post sale like you have in SMBE. This is a huge feature since editing aucitons on line is very very slow, (even with DSL). I keep holding on to SMBE becuase of this feature.

Are you planing on adding this to future versions of SM Pro?

I sometimes have 150 or more auctions to edit before I relist them. The online is just to slow for this.

Hi Maggielane
Just a note to tell you that is an eloquent quote! and so appropriate!

I too wish I could either get SMBE or those type of features in the near future!

Hello,

I am not sure if post sale functionality will be added to SMPro in the future. If you are having trouble editing auctions to relist, you might want to double check your internet connection.

I have a DSL with 1.5Mbit down, and 384kbit up. It still take 5 seconds to get in to an auction online to edit. All I need to do is edit the price, and Vendio sends me to complete auction to edit. When I had Dial up it took like 45 seconds to edit an auction. This is ok if you only have 30 or 40 auctions up. We sometimes have over 500 up and it is to slow for that.

If I have 300 auctions to edit it can add up to an additional 25 minutes that I am just waiting for Vendio. I use Vendio becuase it is a tool to make my life Faster and Easier. SMBE had some great offline Post sale features. It also had some short comings. Now that SMBE is no longer being updated with features such as Auto Relist I know I need to switch, but am hoping that SM Pro will catch up very soon to SMBE features.

Hi Maggielane,

What is your DSL provider?

Hi Sonya
I totally understand what Maggielane is talking about.

I use a satellite and I just timed the editing process for one item.

After selecting items to relist, I click relist and it took 7 seconds to load. For experimental purposes, I choose one to edit. That took 11 seconds to load. It takes me 3 seconds to change the price and 11 seconds to save. that is a total of 32 seconds on satellite! Wow! That is 1 hour per 76 items. I pity the people who use phone lines.

My provider is earthlink.

This really should be fixed.

Thank you

Thank you both for this information. I will be sending you emails shortly to obtain some information for you, so we can work on resolving the slowness problems you are having.

Yes the slowness is my only gripe with editing auctions online. I am using Speakeasy.net for my DSL provider. I have found that there service is very fast. The only times I have speed issues are on particular web sites. But if I go to a web site that I know is well connected like Microsoft it always fly's! I regularly download at 150KB per second. Even when I go to edit auctions it downloads at over 1,000 Kbits. There just seems to be a lot more information downloading and saving than needs to happen for a simple price edit.

Thanks!

Hi Sonya
I think I answered this but I use earthlink as my isp.

I upgraded my memory yesterday to 1G and things move faster now.

Maybe this is a combination of tings?

Thank you
Paula

Molasses! I have Roadrunner. Emptying your cache constantly seems to help also. I hate having to do anything on line but it is necessary when editing re-lists. WASTE of TIME!
