Is the category override in Inventory Manager within SM Pro set-up so that each time I launch, I have to re-enter that which appears on the Ebay auction header like the Region of the DVD, etc?

The Region doesn't change. It can't be. Did I do something wrong? Is there no way to save that or do I have to re-enter the info into each of the 100 auctions I launch every day?

I don't know about other areas but within DVDs, the category information provided in the profile must be augmented by ALWAYS filling out the category override in Inventory Management. On the top of DVD auctions in the new Ebay header, they ask for DVD Region (Region of the world) which has several options; and then the condition of the DVD; also whether it is widescreen or fullscreen. Almost all of this data is fixed from one auction to the next. There are no places to enter this information in the default profile so the override must be filled out if the asked for information is to be provided.

Hello,

The category override option should work without needing any additional information unless you are missing a field that is required from the original.

Double click on an item that required you to re-enter some of the listing data to verify that both the category selected and any item specifics, if eBay requires them for that particular item, are complete.

Regards,
Christopher

Hi Radu and Christopher-

Because of your tip in another thread, I think I'm going to switch to working out of the online inventory. I have too many items and I want to take advantage of the cross-merchandising. The less I have to do manually, the better. I'll just have to learn to work differently.

A lot of Vendio users complain about the stores, indeed so did I, but I noticed that when I really put effort into my auction pages and About Me page to lure customers there, my Vendio store sales have really improved. And I found that people were taking advantage of the discounts I offered in the few cross-merchandised auctions I put up. So I want to find out if that was a fluke or if cross-merchandising works. I have a hunch it can't hurt.

Thanks for your help.

Fred
