Subject or keyword search no available? How can someone remember the EXACT title of an auction?

Started using Post-sale not long ago but found it is far inferior than that of Auctionworks, eg, no auto feedback, no keyword search, really not saving much time.

Hello pyramidcamera,

You should be able to search by keyword in post-sale - there is the option to search the title, by winner, or auction ID in the drop-menu next to the search box.

Thanks,

Diana

Keyword search works under "title search" only when the buyer has completed checkout, if the buyer has not completed checkout, it does not work and this is when keyword search function is most needed to find the auction! If the buyer has not completed the checkout, then the EXACT (EXACT means 100$ same as original auction title) must be used to find the auction at Post-sale!

Hello,

The buyer does not have to have completed checkout in order for you to search by the auction title. Nor does the title have to be exact -- if you put in a partial title, anything that matches will pull up. Is there something you are trying to locate which is not showing up?

Regards,

Sonya

Sonya, you are only partially right. I eventually figured out that under "title search", you can only search by 1)exact and complete title 2)partial title that must be exactly in sequence, for example if the original auction title is: Homemade Wonderful Cleaning Soap Bars, there will be serch results if searched by the complete title or the following examples:

a. Homemade Wonderful
b. Wonderful Cleaning
c. Cleaning Soap
d. Soap Bars
e. Homemade Wonderful Cleaning

etc, however, if searcheb by Homemade Soap, Cleaning Bars, Homemade Soap Bars, no results since these keywords are not in sequence.

The search function is somewhat very limited due to this because SEQUENCE (which can be a problem) of keywords have to be correct if you can not remember the whole EXACT tilte (which probably is impossible). Compared to eBay search, any combinatin in any sequence of the words found in title will bring up the listing. Vendio, can you make improvement on this?
