Hi
Awhile back Sonya posted a message on how to do the upgrade from SMP 4 to 5 and not loose your images and inventory.
I have lost my notes and am giving in. I want to upgrade to 5.1. How do I save my images and inventory (locally)?

Also, is SMBE still available for use? Where could I down load it?

Please reply asap so that I can get my listing done today... Thank you!

Paula

Hi Paula,

To backup your Sales Manager Pro files, please save the following folders:

- From the data folder, the inv.dat file, which contains inventory information.
- From the batches folder, all batch files (*.awb)
- From the images folder, all image files (*.jpg, *.jpeg, *.png). Note, this step is not mandatory if the images exist online: if these are not backed up, images will be downloaded from the Vendio site during the first synchronization made with the new, or recovered, Sales Manager Pro installation

All other data files are rebuilt during the first synchronization.

Unfortunately BE is no longer available for download.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya
Thank you... I am now using 5.1.

Please tell me:
1. If I upload a batch from SMP 5.1 as an eBay auction scheduled to run the next day, go to pending and cancel the launch, edit each item and put it in my inventory and store, will that item show up in the inventory module as 1 available, 1 at auction and one in the store?

2. After I have launched, I set the promos in the inventory module, will those promos be available to the winning bidder, even though I choose the promos after launching?

Thanks
Paula

Hi Paula,

On your first question, are you still going to launch this item?

On your second question, I need to look into it, I will get back to you on this one.

Cheers,
Tara
