Just installed SMPro 6.0, went into the Batch Importer (Tools -> Batch Importer). I tried to back out of the importer by clicking on the close window button (x in top right corner of window), but it will not go away - window just keeps on popping up.
Additionally, I have a dual-monitor setup, and it looks like SMPro isn't consistently drawing windows correctly - the batch importer tool is not showing up entirely (the window is cut off, and you cannot resize). I captured a screenshot you can see here: http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/viewimage.x/00000000/pmountauctions/batchimport.jpg
Additionally, the initial setup wizard that runs the first time you run SMP 6.0 did the same thing - it was sheer luck that I got through the utility.

No, uninstalling/reinstalling has no effect. Once I open the batch importer, the only way to get out is to terminate the program from the Windows task manager.
I was able to get a screen capture of the Startup Wizard as well:
Additionally, I noted an annoying feature in the installer - it doesn't detect where your old version of SMP is installed, it just defaults to the C:\Program Files\Vendio. Is there no way for it to detect where the old version is and install there?
Some SM Pro windows might indeed not work properly with the dual-monitor setup. In order to investigate this further, please let us know in more detail what is the setup you are using: operating system, video card(s), any special video setting or software.
