Ok, every time in the last couple of day's when I have synchronized to upload listings when it is done I get this in a window:

A little box with a red exclamation point and WARNING

Categories Updated. You must restart Sales Manager Pro to load the new categories.

Also I notice that everytime I synch that it is downloading this file "Downloading File 'ebay.xml'." Could this be the file that is not updating?

If you mean by restart SMPro that I shut it down I have. When I re-launch SMPro and I click the synch button again I end up with the same warning every time. What's up????????
They say your memory's the second thing to go, I just can't remember what the first thing is.

Hello,

Indeed it appears that the file ebay.xml is not downloading properly during the synchronization. Are you perhaps using a proxy?

Please check the file size, it should be exactly 1,415,041 bytes. The ebay.xml file is located in the sites folder of your SM Pro installation.

Thanks,

-Radu

Am I using a Proxy, I don't know, am I? Could you elaborate a little more on this.

This only started happening about 3 or 4 day's ago. I have never had any previous problems with SM Pro. Everything is still working fine it just never seems to complete this update.

Hello,

It seems that the ebay.xml file that you have on your computer is old, and SM Pro fails to download the latest version. It might be a proxy or cache along the Internet route from Vendio to your computer which is sending the old file.

You can check whether SM Pro uses a proxy by clicking on Preferences in the left bar. If proxy is checked, please uncheck it and try to synchronize again.

If the synchronization will keep triggering "Categories Updated" warnings, please use this workaround:

a. Close SM Pro and open Internet Explorer
b. Go to:
http://www.vendio.com/my/client/xml/sites/ebay.xml
c. Let the full page load, then right click it and choose View Source
d. Notepad should load with the page source; click File > Save As... and save it as ebay.xml inside a folder on your hard disk (for instance, in C:\ or in C:\TEMP)
e. Make sure that the size of the saved ebay.xml file is exactly 1,415,041 bytes (the current size of the file)
f. If it is, just copy the saved file to its proper location, over the old ebay.xml in the sites folder of the SM Pro installation directory.
g. Delete the Sites.map file from the data folder of the SM Pro installation directory.
h. Finally, restart SM Pro and synch.

Thanks,

-Radu
