I emailed Help about this recently and they gave me information on where to change what, so my shipping price would show up on Ebay. Right now it is showing up as "See Description". I went in here at Vendio and changed my preferences everywhere they said to change them, and saved. I just went in and posted an auction on Ebay. It's still showing up as "See Description" under the shipping column. What am I missing?? What do I need to do for my existing (not running auctions, but ones I already have done up and saved) auctions, in order for them also to show with the actual shipping price, and not See Description?? Thanks for your help.
The changes that you made would only apply to future new listings. For your existing listings you would need to edit them directly through eBay in order to make the change.

This was a future new listing after I had made the changes and saved them. I did the changes the other day, and I just listed the auction today. It still showed up with "See Description".

The auction # is 220140517207. When I do a search for "support our troops beanie bears", and it comes up, it shows the price and then "see description" where the shipping should be.
You did not select the option "I am specifying shipping costs for eBay checkout" when listing this item. When creating the listing in Sales Manager Pro go to the "eBay Site Information" tab and click on the "Payment Instructions & Details" button. Then select "I am specifying shipping costs for eBay checkout". Please let us know if you continue to have trouble with this after making sure that this option is checked.

Ok, I did what you said. Now when I create a listing it pops up and on the 'shipping information' tab, 'tax and insurance' tag, it is red where it says 'please select a valid insurance amount to use with eBay fixed shipping'. But next to that it says (leave blank to use calculated rates from preferences). I want to leave it blank to use my calculated rates from my preferences, but it won't let me save it unless I put an amount in that box. Now what am I missing or doing wrong?? I'm so frustrated.
eBay rules require that you offer fixed insurance with fixed shipping, or calculated insurance with calculated shipping (if you are offering insurance), when specifying shipping costs for eBay checkout. In order to have the shipping information appear in the eBay section you must specify shipping costs for eBay checkout. In order to specify shipping costs for eBay checkout, any insurance that is offered must be the same type as the shipping (fixed or calculated).

Ok. I went to 'my account', then 'site specifics', then 'ebay' and changed it to fixed insurance and typed in $1.30 where it said to put in an amount. Then I synchronized with SMPro. Then I clicked to create an auction, and it still came up red on that same spot. So I entered the $1.30 there and clicked ok, and the auction began. I searched, and it's now showing the shipping price instead of 'see description'. So that part is worked. However, does that mean I have to do that every time for every listing?? Isn't there a way to save it so it will always be like that??
You can have this as a default option by going to your online account. Then go to "My Account" --> "Global Preferences" --> select these options and save. Then synchronize SM Pro, and it will show your defaults when you create new listings.

Hi Nathan,
Thank you for bearing with me through this whole mess. I have given up on it at this point though. I did exactly what you just said to do to have it as a default, and then synchronized, then clicked to create a new listing. It did the same thing and brought up the error and red to type in the $1.30. I will just do it each time, I'm not going to continue using up your time. But at least I did get it showing the price on ebay instead of just see description. Thank you so much for that.
Two possible things to avoid entering that amount each time:
1. Just restart SMPRO. Its possible that you downloaded the new preference and it just hasn't picked it up yet requiring a restart of the program.
2. In Smpro, go to 'edit+profile manager' and then click the 'payment instructions and details' button. Since your using Fixed Shipping and Insurance rates, be sure the default in this popup window is already setup to use Fixed rates (and that your specifying eBay shipping and payment details.)

Hi Christopher, thanks for trying one more time with me and not giving up. I appreciate you and Nathan on this.
However, I just went in and did both of those, and re-checked the preferences in global, and everything is checked as both say it should be. But it's still popping up when I create the auction with the red for cost. Guess it just doesn't like me, LOL.
But as I said, I'm happy I at least have it showing the shipping price on Ebay now instead of just "see description".
