Unfortunately, my computer crashed and I'm having to reinstall everything. One thing I need is the SMPro inventory files. I have carbonite, so it should have been backed up. I just need to know which file it is and how to restore it. Thanks.
If you really mean inventory and not the batches - look for the inv.dat file in the Data folder. This should contain your inventory data in SPRO. Swap this out with the new/blank one that is created when you reinstall the software.

I think I messed up. My inv.dat file wasn't backed up by carbonite because it was within a program that I had to manually indicate to backup
Unfortunately, you would need to have a copy of the file in order to have this information on your computer. This is information that is stored locally on your computer (and not something that we have a copy of).

Okay...so I've started a new inv.dat file. If I am somehow able to take my old computer in and have the old file retrieved, could it be used without loosing my new dat file?
You can only use one of them at a time, and there is no way to merge them. You'd have to swap it out with your 'old' one when you needed to access the old data and swap in the new when you want the new data.
Alternatively you could install a second copy of Pro to an alternate location and access the inventory data as needed by going to the different installs of Pro.

So I took my old pc to a computer repair shop and put the recovered inv.dat file on a flash drive. So, if I understand you correctly, if I ever need this data, I can move the current file to another flash drive and copy the old file to vendio, right?
If the inv.dat file is in the data folder at the time that SMPRO is launched (and *if* the file hasn't been corrupted), then upon launch SMPRO will be able to access the inventory that was stored in that inv.dat file.
