How can I avoid calculating the shipping charges? I took several items out of storefront to list on Ebay Fixed Day. I need to move them back into storefront, but AW is requiring that I calculate charges. These items are stored, unboxed, unwrapped. I cannot get to them until they sell (or inquired about) for dimensions, weight, etc. Therefore, I would state in the listing, "Before purchasing, Contact with address for shipping calculations." I thought I could put a foolish amount of 100.00 as a default, explain in listing that this will be the case, if not contacted first for proper calculations, but I would rather not do this. Please give us a choice for special circumstances. Any other suggestions?TIA

Hi Ramabele,
If you turn off the Auto WBN for that item, and pick another selection other than USPS priority calculated, you should be fine. If you continue to have trouble with this let me know which item it is, and I'll look at it and let you know what you should take off.

WBN always off. Your program is requiring a shipping amount, whether custom, priority, parcel, etc. Not sure you understand my needs in this case. I CANNOT input a shipping amount. Please refer to first post.
Can you let me know the name, or the ID number, of one of the items? I understand that you can't put in a shipping amount yet -- did you want to set up calculated shipping for that item you want to put back in the store. There is no way to list something in the store without providing some sort of shipping.

Look up coffee mugs in inventory, although you could choose anything other than a book. It's not the item, but the requirement to input shipping amount on various odd items that's causing me such havoc. If there is no way to list something in the store w/o providing some sort of shipping, could I devise a fake shipping, yet let the customer know they must contact me for correct shipping amount due to program limitations? For instance, I can enter USPS Priority, 20.00 estimated. I believe this was what I did to begin with, months ago when I first began using storefront, but this is not good as nothing sells that way. I had to over-estimate too much. Can you think of another way to help me?

Hi Ramabele,
At this time, I think the only thing you can do is pick a shipping amount and then include in your description that the buyer must contact you. If you don't want to use one of the options in the drop down, use the customated shipping box -- you could put CONTACT ME FOR SHIPPING and then a monetary amount next to it.

Thanks for working with me on this Sonya. Until you come up with a better fix, this is what I will have to do if I do not want to pack and weigh item before possible sale: At the end of the storefront listing I will add this for uncalculated items.
EMAIL ADDRESS FOR CALCULATED USPS PRIORITY SHIPPING CHARGES BEFORE CHECKOUT.
Under shipping and handling I will use the custom shipping as you suggested, which has a 30 character limit:
DEFAULT: EMAIL FOR SHIPPING
and put amount as $20.00 for everything.
Hope AW finds a better solution in the near future for this. Thanks again!
