I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason the large-type static Sample Items heading above the 6 items just doesn't look or feel right.
I understand the navigation of my page, but I'm looking at it from a customer's standpoint... are these REALLY available or are they just "sample items" that are not available? Or are these 6 items offered for FREE? (as a sample?)
Then tucked away on the right in very small print is the hot link to View All Items.
I know the intent of what the Sample Items are, but there has to be a better way to convey this to the viewing customer.
I for one do not sell "sample" anything... I surely don't give away "sample items", I sell the "real mccoy".
Since the Home Page pulls these 6 items up in a random manner it seems the Home Page is "featuring" or "showcasing" these 6 items to the customer.
SUGGESTION: Why not change the heading to read "Featured Items" or "Showcase Sample Items" or just "Showcase". Customers are familiar with what a showcase is.
These are quick suggestions off the top of my head, but I think with our excellent group of sellers something better can be there instead of "Sample Items". It just seems to me to be the wrong terminology for what we want the customer to see.
For me, sample items are the little sausages or other "samples" that the person hands out for free in the supermarket - or when you used to get the small packet of dish soap in the mail... those are "sample items".
Thanks for your consideration on this,
Greg Williams
