I wonder if Vendio, or who is reading this, has ever developed a position on whether store pricing and auction pricing should be identical? Or a rationale to have either lower than the other?
It is basically up to the seller, how they want to price the items. If you have two of the same item and you put one at auction and one in your store, you might want to consider making the one in your store higher because if it was lower than the one in auction, people would probably buy the store item first. However, this is just my opinion, it's really up to you.

For my two cents worth (I know, I'll eventually go broke as many times as I put in my two cents):
Auction Pricing and Store Pricing can be the same or as different as apples and oranges.
I may have an item in the store for a certain price and want to put it at auction starting at a lower price than offered in my store. Why? To draw attention, to entice lookers that may become buyers. This marketing concept is commonly known as a "loss-leader". I very well may "lose" on that one item placed at auction, but the draw and attention that it pulls will offset that loss. As an added bonus that "loss-leader" may very well sell at auction higher than the other like-items sitting in my store. That's up to the bidder to visit my store and learn that it is offered at an everyday price - the bidder should never bid more than they are willing to pay... period but we know how that goes. <g>
I like how it is now, left up to the seller to determine the pricing for store or auction - linking the two to an automatic setting would be extremely limiting and in my opinion, wrong.
Hey... that's marketing! Gotta love it. LOL
