Now in the Vendio store when someone wants to purchase, they click on the Paypal link, go to Paypal and pay. In the interim, you send an e-mail to me and the buyer summarizing the purchase, leaving it up to us to settle the payment.
If I switch to Website Pro, why does that really change anything? The customer selects an item, clicks on the payment icon and effectively goes to Paypal for the credit card payment. Why does that conflict with Vendio?
Or am I misunderstanding? Are you saying I must use Verisign or one of its kind, but I can't have Paypal take the credit card payment?

Hi,
PayPal Pro lets customers pay WITHOUT being a PayPal member. The way it is now they MUST be a PayPal member to use PayPal. This results in many dropped sales as PayPal is great for eBay, but most web only customers don't want to use PayPal. They just want to plug in their credit card info and be done.
Verisign is another credit card payment processor. You can use them, but you'd better have a thick wallet as it is super expensive. If you are a small to medium sized seller it is basically cost prohibitive to use them.
My feeling is Vendio MUST incorporate the new Paypal Pro into the Vendio Stores ASAP or risk losing many members to other sites that accept it. Please email Vendio and insist on them updating us members on when they plan on implementing this. I have contacted them and so far receive the stock "we'll forward on your suggestion" answer. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! As Larry the Cable Guy says "Get er done!"
