I for one would like to see Vendio renew support for Yahoo Auctions. With the ebay market place in turmoil, it would seem to me to be the time to do so.
Like many Vendio clients, I depend upon SMME to keep track of my inventory, which I am continually expanding. In the past, I appreciated the ability to list my items on both ebay and Yahoo.
Now, I understand the business reasons stated by Vendio. However, that decision did not help with my business, and my forward plans. In essence, Vendio has become one dimensional.
Further, I am not sure why Vendio would pass on the opportunity that has been provided by the ebay fee increases. It would seem to me that now would be the optimal time to offer support for Yahoo, and other venues. Not everyone has the type of product or the desire to list on Dealio, or Shopzilla.
I doubt that there will be any changes to Vendio stores as it has been over a year since Drew came on this board and promised changes and sought input from us. To be fair, my items appear in Froogle, and my store has achieved first page ranking on Yahoo, and relevant rankings on Google, for many of my Vendio store categories.
Moreover, I have become familiar with the store and would be satisfied if no improvements were made, with the following exceptions: (1) the choice of ebay auctions, ebay store items or both appearing in the Auction Box on the store front page; (2) support for Yahoo auctions; and (3) support for ebay FVF referral credit links, so we can make some money.
As usual, I know not to seek a firm answer, because definite answers are hard to come by from Vendio. I do know that I for one, will fill my store, stay till after Christmas, and reevaluate the services here, at that time.
