In order to do this, please go to "Stores" --> "Template Editor". Then go to the "Advanced" menu and select "Enable Advanced Mode". From the advanced menu select "Edit HTML" and browse for the "modules/featured.html" file. Then locate the following line of code (the first line of code in the file):

I'd like to increase the number of items on my home page also, but I don't have the "modules/featured.html" file as an option in my advanced editing mode. Why is that and how do I make the change from 3 items to more? Thanks!
Unfortunately, you are using an older version of the Store template that does not include this option. In order to make this change, please first switch to a different template. You may switch the template that you are using by going to "Stores" --> "Template" --> click the link for "Vendio" in order to view the Vendio created templates --> click "Select this template" next to the template that you would like. Please let us know should you continue to have trouble with this.

Hello. I would like to accomplish the same thing. However, I am using the Midnight template. My feature html page does not have that line of code in it.
You say select a more recent template, but this Midnight one along with many others just like it (just different colors), are still in the vendio section. Is there no way to make this adjustment with these templates?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to make the change with that template. The Midnight template (as well as the other templates that are the same style with different colors) is an older template where this change unfortunately cannot be made.

Ok, however the reason why I went back to the midnight template is with every other template I have tried, I occasionally encounter store pages styles being totally corrupted with the example before:

It happens at random times when loading or refreshing various pages, even without editing the template at all. I have seen it happen on both chrome and firefox.
That looks like a permissions issue when you aren't using the CNAME options to point your store, rather when you have used the downloadable file and execute it on your own webhosting server instead. If the permissions aren't correct it will appear this way where most of the graphics aren't available to be displayed. That said, ive only seen it as an all or nothing issue, never as an intermittent issue.
It wouldn't be template specific though, so if you see it on one - you'll eventually see it on another as well.
If this is an issue that persists, you may want to consider changing the pointing method being used to display your store at your domain name.

That's interesting, but the store is still in the testing phase, and I have not moved my domain to point to it.
I suppose I won't worry about it for now and continue to use one of the new templates. It's just strange as I was using the midnight template for quite a while and never noticed it happening.
