Hello,

There doesn't appear to be anything in the setup of the variations that is keeping it from displaying properly. We have alerted our engineers of this issue and they will likely need to apply a patch to the store. If this is the case, once applied you will not have to worry about a display issue again.

When more information is available we'll post it back to this thread.

Regards,
Chris

I also observed that when I click Add to Cart on the product with variation, the Add to cart also isn't working. But when I Add a product without variation to cart, that's the time the variation shows up. And when I go again to another page, I had to again add a product without variation to cart so the variations will show up.

Another issue, I also increased the number of items shown in my All Products page from 8 to 28 through utils/prevnextlinks.html but the number of items on the 1st page remains the same (1-8 of 9) and on the second page 29-29 of 9 like it's still using the last quantity displayed on the content page from the template I'm using.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hello,

The first part of the error your reporting is certainly the same issue that is preventing the variation from displaying in the first place. The engineering patch should correct these both, but we'll verify once it's applied that this is the case.

For the display issue on the number of items, there was just one place where you missed changing the value on the content/categories.html file and I made the adjustment on your behalf and published it. Let me know if you notice anything missing from the display values going forward.

Thank You! The page #s are showing right now. Also, how do i change the ADD TO CART and DETAILS into an image button of them instead of just letters? I can't seem to find any fix on the forum.

Hi! Can I add items on my store while waiting for the engineering patch for my variation issues?

Hello,

To first answer the question on using your own graphics instead of text - Yes, but it will require some effort in manually editing the storefront code. Some templates already have buttons that are
actually images. If you want to use images also for a template
that has links, add the required images in a directory of your store.
Probably the best place is skins/*/images/ and you should edit
content/category.html file and change the texts with images.

This example is from a template that has buttons instead of texts:
<a rst:ifnot="{notavailable}" href="javascript:void(0);"
rst:attr:href="javascript:addItemToCart('{item1:@id}');" title="Add to
Cart"><img
rst:attr:src="skins/{session:currentskin}/images/addtocart_button.gif"
border="0" alt="Add to Cart"></a><a href="javascript:void(0);"
rst:seo="{item1:/CategoryName
}" rst:seo="{item1:/Title}" rst:href:pagename="item"
rst:href:lid="{item1:@id}" title="Details"><img
rst:attr:src="skins/{session:currentskin}/images/details_button.gif"
border="0" alt="Details"></a>

Chris

Next, for the issue your running into with the variations not displaying - unfortunately it isn't as simple as our needing to run a script. Your template fully supports variations and there is nothing we can edit on the storefront side that would have an impact on the behavior your seeing. There is a lot of JavaScript code embedded into the current store design and something is likely corrupting the variation scripts.
We escalated this to another engineer to see if they can pinpoint what part of the custom code on the page may be causing this display issue and will get back to you when more information is available.

Chris

It's fine now. I was able to change the add to cart/details buttons using the infos you gave me. I also took out the scripts that was preventing my store to show the variations. Thanks for all your help!
