Thanks in advance... I'm new to this.
I mark an item for follow-up (for example, I've replied to someone with an email saying that I'd get back to them tomorrow and marked their question for follow-up. How do I find this email again? I see the follow-up indicator, but I have to be in the right folder to see it, and what if I have loads of emails? Is there a search that will find all unanswered and/or flagged emails?
Do I have to cc myself on the I'll-get-back-to-you-tomorrow email to make this work?
There is a Sent Messages option in Customer Manager -- if you click on that you can easily find anything you sent in the past 15 days. There's also a Search option where you can search emails you sent or emails you received. Search is also a sub menu of Customer Manager, like Sent Messages is.
It's not necessary to CC yourself, since you can find emails using any of the methods mentioned above. Let me know if you have any trouble with this.
I think you're missing the point of it. The problem occurs when I have an email that requires followup but is not still marked as "unread" (because I forwarded the item). Then, I go off and spend hours doing this, that, and the other thing. I have forgotten all about the original email. I need to have some queue or search that indicates that I have an unfinished item on my plate. Something like a virtual folder called "Flagged for follow-up" or a search that looks for flags.
So, I still have to CC myself, because otherwise there will be no indication that I have not addressed all of the issues for the day.

Hi Claude,
Thanks for the clarification, I did misunderstand. I apologize for that. When you flag those messages for follow up do you categorize them? A workaround would be to create a response called 'follow up' and categorize it with that so you can do a search for that. I will log a suggestion for search by the actual follow up tag.
