I got a notice last night that AuXpal was changing its name from AuXpal to Bidville! I wonder if they believe this will attract more bids? Certainly the name change makes it sound more like an auction, since AuXpal was a rather non-descript name - I hope this name change helps, personally, I have had no success at AuXpal, although we have sales at some of the other alternative sites.

I received the same notice. I prefer bidville. Sounds more professional than auxpal.

Kinda catchy, easier on the eyes, rolls off the tongue better. They need all the help they can.

How do you register at Bidville? I have the form completely filled out and when I hit the next button the form relaods and says it is INCOMPLETE! But every required space is filled!!! Do you have to put something in the referral box? If so, what??? I tried this yesterday several times and today several times, and still no luck!!!

jake: email them if you keep having trouble. They will get you fixed up in a jiffy. You will get an email addressed to YOUR NAME with real information signed by a REAL PERSON. Good luck!

It is refreshing to have a site that is growing and making changes based on feedback from its sellers!
BIDVILLE (AUXPAL) is very easy to use. Their interface helps listings look very professional....and they have been making changes almost daily to tweak the site to the sellers needs.

Now the only glitch is to get the BUYERS to switch!

I think the name change will help. I sold 3 items today on Bidville. Moving everything from Yahoo there. Tried others sites but no sales.

List your items so when the buyers stop by there is something for them to look at. If the product isn't there the buyers won't come back. Someone on BidVille is buying because I have an average of 7 auctions with bids at all times. And my sold list is growing daily. I am doing much better than I did on Yahoo. Happy, happy days!

I know a lot of sellers like what they see at Bidville but we all have to do our part to keep the ball rolling. We have to let all our customers know we have moved. Email them and invite them to join us. Give them a link to the site. Put a link on your website to Bidville. Tell all your friends to come join us. The sellers are the ones to bring in the bidders. Lets go get the job done NOW!!!!
Good Luck to all

I have been looking at Bidville, I registered several days ago. I need them to come out with the Bulk Loader because I have approx 500 items and don't want to list one at a time. Too bad AW bulk loader doesnt support them.

zymo, ask bidville's CS to see if they can transfer your auctions for you, in some cases they can move you auctions from other sites (Yahoo, Ebay, ect...) for you

Hi zymo! E-Mail their customer service - they have been downloading some seller's items (like you) - that have many, many items - if you have them on a spreadsheet/similar they should be able to help! Try asking!

How exactly would they tranfer your listings?? In a technical sense??

And it was a good move for auxpal to change to bidville.

For those of you that missed the news
Auxpal was originally planning to be a paypal auction site.

You enter your paypal account info and password and winners automaticaly pay the seller with paypal funds.........only they didnt clear it with paypal first lol and got busted for it.

And that is partial reason why your paypal notices in the email now say don't ever give out your paypal password to anyone or WEBSITE lol.

That story still gives me the giggles.....

Lovepotions

They don't transfer by a technical sense! What they will do is if you use a bulk loading file (i.e. comma deli, comma seperated, or other spread sheet format) they will accept that file via a attatchment in a Email and post them for you. I sent them my Yahoo csv file they loaded for me!

They actually transferred my closed auctions from Yahoo, no file was needed. I did have to supply my password to enable them to do this, how they did it is beyond me. One problem was that they had to transfer ALL closed auctions from Yazoo .. I had run three sets of approx 400 auctions on Yahoo same items, different weeks. They could not select the closed auctions by date. What I actually have posted on bidville is three identical sets of 400 auctions total of 1200 auctions. They also told me they can convert CSV files.

So have any of you actually sold much on bidville??

I know I listed six videos and the hits were pretty small. No sales.

I think the only way they could do that is by down loading and filtering the source code to that auction listing! That is going the extra mile! Thanks for the Heads Up!

canvid ... so did I. I set my "Take It" price at about 1/3 of what these videos go for for on eBay and none of them got any bids. Don't know if anyone had a look though - I didn't set up any counters.

Looks like us video traders need to find somewhere else to do our thing

RB, Looks like you'll be doing your "thing" on a pay site. Auxpal is the fastest growing free site by far, but none of the new sites are going to produce a lot of buyers over night. It took Yahoo over 6 months to build up any traffic.

If you have built up a great FEEDBACK reputation at YAHOO, Amazon or Ebay...and you are sick of the Fee games these sites keep playing... You can move to the FREE Auction Site BIDVILLE (Formerly Auxpal) and they will automatically import your Feedback Stats and display them at the bottom of each of the listings you post to their site.

It is amazing to me, after dealing with customer non-service from Ebay and Yahoo that BIDVILLE is actually making improvements to their site based on what the sellers want! Guaranteed free listings forever if you sign up before March 31st.
The site is growing fast...in listings but we need to start a campaign to alert buyers to go there!

Any chance that Auction Watch can start a separate category for BIDVILLE
